SK Shawarma - Suhair's Kitchen — Restaurant in Virginia

I’ll start off by saying the food is great, and probably the only reason for me to consider giving this place another chance. Their ordering system seems severely disorganized. I made a phone call for a pick up order. Someone answered the phone- didn’t say it was the business or give a name. Took my order down in a rush, didn’t ask for a name or give me a price and then hung up. I was told to go in in 25 minutes. I went in 40 minutes after calling and came up to the register. The people ahead of me had called for a pick up as well. They also stated no one asked to take their name down. The cashier proceeded to repeat several orders until they got to the correct one. When I went up I stated what my order had been. The cashier listed several orders that were not mine so I repeated what my order had been. He said no order was placed. I showed him that I called, and showed him the store number. He said it wasn’t their phone number. A Google search confirmed it was indeed their number and the guy stated he saw my phone number in the call log- he then said I must not have spoken to someone. I indeed did speak to someone. So I ended up having to place my order AGAIN and wait another 30 minutes for my food. I had to repeat my order 3 times for the cashier to input it correctly into the system. It was apparently very hard to order 1 chicken kabob plate with an extra chicken kabob skewer and two beef kofta skewers on the side. Really was a ridiculous process and lack severe organization. We ordered shawarma here , this place recently opened and we had no idea what to expect. The owners are extremely nice and took their time to explain options. We ordered chicken and beef and both were amazing. The beef I would rate slightly higher than the chicken because it was more tender and juicy compared to the chicken but the chicken shawarma was good too. I would definitely go here again for shawarma!

Update: the owner is really nice and cares about each and every order. I feel like the extra care he puts in to make sure the shawarma is to the customer’s liking can sometimes get confusing. The shawarma I had last time was different than the one I had the time before that and the time before that I could swear I asked for the same thing each time. Stick to your style make small adjustments but don’t change it so much that no one knows what to expect even yourself . Also giving too many options just makes your job harder and the customers find it difficult to decide what to get. It’s shawarma keep it simple keep it authentic. It was the perfect weather to have a good shawarma, the authentic kind! But the issue was from where???? To our pleasant surprise we found this GEM. The gentleman who took our order was so polite and knew exactly what we were looking for. We placed the order for pick up and it was ready in 15mins. We opened the box to find the perfect looking shawarma, toasted to perfection and cut in half, very good portion served with a side of the ever so yum garlic sauce. It was made from the saj bread, none of that unwanted salad to alter the tastes, it had a great portion of chicken, garlic sauce, pickles and fries and the icing on the cake the pomogranite molases 😋In a matter of mins we literally inhaled the good stuff down it was that awesome!!! We immediately ordered for a repeat 🤣 even though our stomachs were full (saving the goodness for tomorrow). Almost 4 shawarmas down, in a single sitting between the 3 of us, we are left with a very happy tummy, mind and soul 😊 thank you SK Shawarma for giving us great food and service.
