Starbucks — Restaurant in Virginia

I wish I could give this location a 0. They are a bunch of theives. First my daughter accidentally left her purse on the counter. When she called the following day. She was told they didn't find a purse. My daughter asked could they view the camera footage. The young lady told her they could not only corporate. So I told my daughter to call back and ask them if she called the police work they be able to view the footage. The same young lady said they found it. It took saying we would get the police involved for her to tell us she found the purse. So when my daughter goes in to get the purse the lady had an attitude. She told my daughter how does she know the purse belongs to her if she doesn't have a picture with the purse. My daughter said you can look in the purse and see my driver's license. When my daughter checked her purse she was missing her bottle of perfume. Hopefully this happens to no one else. If so you are going to tell they you are going to get the police involved to get your belongings back. We will never go to this location...

It's starbucks, so mostly what you'll expect of a starbucks. But I've always found that the weekend staff is friendly and hard working.

And on a very busy day, I got to witness an exemplary moment of customer service. As stated, very busy - non stop orders and the staff was working diligently to get those orders done. A young man came in and was unfamiliar with the pick up system. (His father had made the order and this customer didn't know you could just grab the cup with your name and go.) One of the hard working staff (wish I had caught his name tag) slowed enough to clarify the process and confirm that the customer could take the cup. It easily was a moment where staff could have been too busy and ignored the customer's uneasiness. But in the flow of work, this staff member caught the need and handled it with a friendly smile. 5 stars in my book. (Writing this review a month later because as I came in to get my coffee today the flashback came up and clearly that interaction stuck with me.) Moments like this matter....

I'm a daily patron of this Starbucks as it is near enough to my workplace I can grab lunch and the service is almost always great :) Watch out now though since school is back in session. Middle-schoolers congregate after school, often obstructing the sidewalk and/or the front door as well as creating a very uncomfortably loud noise level. There is often horseplay as well as ball-tossing across the front entrance, and a young man once nearly knocked me down as I was making my way to the restroom. There is one employee/barista who attempts to calm them, which interrupts service as she has to come out from behind the counter. I reported this issue to FCPD today and was informed they can do nothing as this is private property, and someone in management there would have to report this is a problem. I really don't think the sidewalk is private...
