Starbucks — Restaurant in Virginia

TLDR: Starbucks slaps. ☕️ 💅🏼

Listen, some can say what they want about Starbucks and how we shouldn’t support big business but let me tell you about this morning. I had to do an early morning marriage license signing and didn’t have time to make my coffee at home as usual. I love Starbucks espresso because I can get a triple shot ristretto and fit my protein shake in the cup with extra ice because the ristretto is more concentrated. But as I was approaching Starbucks I said to myself you know what let me support local and stop by a locally owned coffee shop and order a double shot of espresso with ice and I’m shopping small. Even though I had already had one rude experience at this place once before I chalked it up to a one off and decided to give it another try. When I get to this unnamed place the young girl looked less than thrilled to take my order. I kindly asked for a double shot of espresso in their largest cold cup with extra extra ice. I received it in their smallest cup with barely any ice. I kindly reminded her that I asked for a large cup with a ton of ice. She mumbled something about “let me see if I can do that”. 🤔 Of course she can so she did. I paid and left. Added my protein drink to it at a red light and my drink went completely white and I tasted zero espresso even with a double shot. That never happens at Starbucks. Since I was on my way home I stopped by the Starbucks near my home and went inside to order another double shot of espresso (ristretto this time) in a hot cup so I can add it to the coffee I already had. I laughingly told the girl on the counter I had “cheated” on Starbucks in an attempt to shop small and was so disappointed with my coffee and their service. I told her how I was adding their espresso to my coffee in the car to fix it. She asked for my name and smiled and said it’s on me today. Said “I hope this fixes your coffee and I’m sorry your morning started off like that. Hopefully this makes it better.” And she was so sweet and kind about it. Besides her, every single barista behind the counter and even the one coming into work as I was leaving all smiled and said good morning to me. So yea. Long winded to say… leave me and my Starbucks alone lol....

I have ordered from this starbucks a lot. I have not experienced this before. I ordered a pumpkin spice latte grande. In the drive thru. When i received it, i remember instantly thinking it felt very light...half full. But didn't check because i didn't think it was possible. While im driving i decide to check because it felt way too light. Sure enough i took the lid off and my grande was half full. I payed full price and didn't even get a cup filled. I'm very disappointed about this. $6 for a half cup of coffee is ridiculous. (Photo is only with one sip taken, i could take the photo...

Coming to this Starbucks makes my day every time!!!

Great service, all the time! They go above and beyond! Sometimes they even go around handing out free samples, or will just bring you a cup of water to your table if you have been sitting there for a while, and the staff is always so friendly and kind!!!

I love their drive through too. It is so convenient and has saved me many times when I was running late for work and did not have time to prepare any breakfast and/or lunch.
