This Waffle House stands as a beacon of culinary excellence, where every bite is infused with warmth, flavor, and a touch of magic. My recent visit to this establishment left me spellbound, and it is with great pleasure that I offer my highest commendation.
Me and a group of 12 other people walked in the doors around 10:30 on a Sunday night after our hall formal. We were worried we would be an inconvienece for the two people working the shift. However, to our delight they were extemely welcoming.
From the moment I stepped through the door, I was greeted with genuine warmth and hospitality by Kelly, whose smile illuminated the entire space. Her kindness and attentiveness was unlike anything I have ever seen before. The atmosphere that she created allowed me to immerse myself fully in the culinary journey that lay ahead.
Each waffle was a work of art crafted by Derek, golden and crisp on the outside, yet impossibly light and fluffy on the inside. The sheer perfection that was placed before me on a plate was outstanding. The flavor was simply out of this world and now I simply fear I will never experience anything close for the rest of my days on earth.
Just when I thought they couldn't be any more remarkable they went out of their way to offer and take pictures for us outside the building and in front of the sign. They were able to effectively cater to our unique situation. These two individuals are truly some of the best people I have ever had the honor to meet!
Their unwavering dedication to their craft is truly inspiring, and it is a testament to the fact that great food is made even greater by the hands that prepare it. It is with great honor that I bestow upon this fine establishment a 5...
Read moreI don’t often rate restaurants but had to stop by and rate Waffle House on TimberLake Road in Lynchburg, VA. It was my 2nd time eating at a Waffle House in my 60 years, the other time was in Florida. Today was different. We walked in and wanted to sit at a booth where a couple just had left because the other booths had direct sunlight hitting them. An employee immediately offered to clean it for us immediately, before even saying a word, he could tell it was our preference. After cleaning the booth, he delivered menus, took our order (after answering questions for us) and even offered suggestions. Very professional and polite. Our early (4:30 ish) dinner was served quickly and it was delicious, plated well and photo worthy! We were so pleased about our decision to stop in for a quick dinner. But, the above is not why I’m writing a review. I am writing this review because of this:
Our waiter, we learned, was a young man named Landon. He was so pleasant we were asking if he was a student and making conversation with him. A few minutes later, he was checking on the couple sitting in the booth directly behind us. They were talking to him and were so RUDE to him we were SHOCKED. I turned around once to let this couple know we were listening to his behavior but he didn’t let up. Even with that, Landon remained SO PROFESSIONAL, and kind in his responses never once batting an eye. My husband and I agreed he is an outstanding employee and deserves to be acknowledged. So bravo on this fantastic staff member. He represents Waffle House in a manner that would make any company...
Read moreAfter an exhausting moving day, I took my wife and son to this WH. We declared to the server that we are all gluten and carb free, and we ordered accordingly. We waited and we waited and continued to wait. Then a part of our order was brought to the table, but not all of it. The server asked my wife, “are you going to eat anything?” My wife replied, “yes, when you bring my order.” The server said, “Oh, the cook didn’t make your food.” In a poor attempt to “bandaid” the delay, the server gave my wife a complimentary waffle with syrup (she is diabetic and does not eat bread or other carbs as previously declared/disclosed). Once the rest of the food came, we ate. The food delivered first was now cold and didn’t taste right. I discovered that my Western Omelette was made with bacon instead of sausage. The bacon was hard and burned, and frankly tasted badly.
Amidst a lot of chaos in the kitchen, the cook dropped several pans on the floor. He picked up the pans and replaced them on the shelf without washing them. Looking down at the floor under the stainless cabinets, we saw the build up of filth and debris (see photo).
The behavior of the management and employees included a lot of foul language as well as other behaviors that are not becoming of a respectable business.
We will never go back to the Waffle House At 20110 Timberlake Road,...
