The Toy Guys — Local services in Lakeside

From beginners to long time funko pop, Lego, and Pokémon card collectors, this store is a huge help and asset in one way or another.

I found out about this shop while in Second and Charles about a week into collecting pops and it changed the whole game for me.

The store itself is a HUGE help with them having a $5 pop wall that typically has a majority of pops I paid $14+ dollars for online or in a store like Second and Charles or Books-A-Million and for the collections I am building I have able to grab at least 20 pops or so total that would have costed me closer to $100 more dollars if I had found them anywhere else.

On top of that the rest of the pops in there are all very diverse in genres, variants, and age. Not to mention if you follow their Instagram they post new hauls daily that are available to come in and grab. (be mindful some pops go quick so I advise turning on post notifications)

And even if you don’t see anything you like, the 3 owners are super friendly, each seem to have knowledge on one collectible category or more so you can chat with them for great insight on where to find pops, what they think of the hype predictions for upcoming pops so you can plan what to go after accordingly if you were unsure, and they are just always a delight to work with!

As for Pokémon cards they have a binder for cheaper cards, a case for the more valuable cards from many different packs, and ETB’s as well. (which are super clutch when they disappear from retailers ASAP)

Lego’s I’ve never dabbled in much but I can say they have a giant tub of pieces that you can come in and shop for (kids especially seem to love this tub) and 3 shelves that front and back have different sets you can build as well!

The location is very central to Richmond and the only downside I could see is that to some it may be hard to find, BUT THEY HAVE A SIGN NOW!! So it should be easy peasy to find these days!

Definitely go check these guys out whenever you get the chance, you’ll probably leave with a pop, Pokémon card, or lego and I know you’ll be figuring out when the best time to go back is for you.
