Restaurant Reviewing : A Celebration to Remember When our family found ourselves in need of a last-minute venue to celebrate our daughter’s graduation, we were fortunate enough to stumble upon Toast. From the moment we called, Allison (Ali) Staples, General Manager, went above and beyond to accommodate our party, making what could have been a stressful situation into a memorable experience. Despite the short notice, Ali was incredibly understanding and resourceful, offering us a private area that perfectly suited our group size. The ambiance was warm and inviting. Ali and her manager Cathy allowed us to decorate the area and even offered their assistance! Moving tables, assisting with decorations and so much more! It was clear that attention to detail was a priority here. The menu was diverse and catered to a range of dietary needs, which was particularly important for our group. Each dish was a masterpiece, beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. Ali and her husband Chris even surprised us with complimentary items to add to the spread….those freshly cut truffle fries are a perfect addition to any item! Service was impeccable throughout the evening from our designated server, April. She was attentive and friendly, ensuring that every guest felt special and well-cared-for. Drinks were refilled promptly, and any special requests were handled with grace and efficiency. Our family left the restaurant with full hearts and bellies, grateful for the exceptional hospitality and seamless experience. If you're looking for a venue that combines tasteful cuisine with outstanding service, especially for a special occasion, I wholeheartedly recommend Toast. They turned a potentially hectic day into a joyous celebration that we will cherish for years to come. We are truly grateful to the entire team at Toast, we will be back soon! 🫶🏼

Ended up at this place by accident. My car was in the shop for repairs when the city shut the place down for a gas leak. Needed somewhere to spend a few hours. Glad I did! For the longest time I didn't even know this place was a Pub, but then you would not think it was given its unassuming strip small location. Walking in you are instantly transported out of Suburbia and into a very nicely furnished wood paneled bar and dining area. Staff were very attentive and polite, and happy hour goes from open to dinner time. Yay! I went basic and ordered the burger, and it was so good I had to take a picture. Excellent presentation, right amount of meat to bun and topping ratio, and the bun was delicious. All the little things that set great burgers apart from something you expect to find at a fast food joint. Even better, the fries were also delicious and not your generic frozen crinkled you would usually expect. Considering how busy the place was for lunch I can only conclude the other items were just as popular. Everyone around me seemed to have ordered a good mix, and the place was packed on a Thursday afternoon. Excellent establishment, with a keen attention for detail. It's the little things that set places apart. Even more tempting had it not been so early was their massive selection of whiskey. They have alot, and the discerning eye noticed a couple bottles that are hard to find. The owner of this establishment is clearly a man of culture and taste. My one minor gripe was that the music volume was a tad too loud for a Thursday afternoon lunch, but that is a gimme and probably a result of a staffer fat fingerings the button. 5 stars!

Came here for brunch because the menu looked great and some different flavors. Took a while for our server to get to our table; then when we returned her question with “doing well, how are you” she seemed underwhelmed and said “….managing I guess”. That should have been our first sign to turn away, but we all have rough days. She brought back water but seemed very preoccupied. We ordered the Chesapeake omelette and the Pulled Pork Benedict. Took around an hour to get our food and she made a couple comments about how “the other food before yours is up; but yours hasn’t been put out yet” and “I’m going to check on your food, it should have come out a while ago”. Places get backed up, I’ve worked in the industry, but it was definitely a bit odd. We received our food and there was absolutely zero flavor. The textures were present but the pork was dry and unseasoned; the sriracha hollandaise had no heat, and the egg was over cooked and rubbery, like a marshmallow. Had to nearly drown my hash browns in salt and pepper. The biscuit (even though it stated it was suppose to be on an English muffin), was tough and overcooked. I wanted to believe that maybe I had just made a bad choice of dish; until my friend mentioned hers was awful as well and didn’t have any flavor and seemed dry. Tried a bit of her Chesapeake omelette and the only notable taste was the onion, which was barely cooked and crunchy. The crab and shrimp tasted old and bland. $50 wasted unfortunately. The ideas of the dishes are definitely solid, but the execution was heinous. Won’t be back.
