This was handsdown the best delivery meal I've had since the beginning of COVID. It seems to me, something bad happens to food when it's delivered. It's never as good as it is in the restaurant. I've eaten at Tony's before and picked up orders, and it's always great, but I still figured it would just be high-average when delivered. I'm so glad I was wrong. This is one of the best things I can remember eating anywhere in the last 6 months. The order was perfect, including the 2 things I requested in the special instructions. As you can see, calling this a generous portion would be putting it mildly. I will eat at least 3 full meals out of this one entree. The angel hair pasta is still intact, not disintegrating from being overcooked. That big slab of Italian sausage is to die for - tender and juicy and just a little crisp on top. The baked mozzarella was one of the special requests. I can't stand just barely melted cheese on a pasta dish. I requested and described in detail this degree of cheese doneness (and apologized for being obnoxious). I couldn't have gotten it better myself. Even the bleu cheese dressing and the daggon complementary bread are delicious. That's saying a lot because I'm a serious home bread baker, and I've thrown out the bread from every other local Italian place I've ordered from in the past year. Literally, threw it out and made my own garlic bread or just had none instead. Last but absolutely not least, when I've dined in or picked up, the staff are really great- friendly and personable every time. Thank...
Read moreMyself and a few of my close friends and family LOVE Italian food. We even make it a necessity to visit as many Italian restaurants as possible in hopes of finding more quaint & friendly restaurants where we can enjoy time with one another and eat amazing food. My experience here was NOT THAT EXPERIENCE. We arrived at the restaurant around 8:00 pm on Labor Day weekend expecting to have an enjoyable time, however upon entering the restaurant a woman sweeping the floor inquired about how many guests were in our party. After informing her of our group size (5 people) she began to catch an attitude, rolled her eyes at us as if our presence was an inconvenience, and asked us to sit down while pointing to a table that would only accommodate 3 people as she snatched menus off a counter. At that point I immediately left the establishment with the intent to write out my experience for others to see. I am usually not one to make a big fuss about rude behavior but this was my first time encountering this type of person at any restaurant and I was EXTREMELY disgusted and appalled by the behavior of this woman. I can only hope that if one chooses to go here after they read this comment, that they take what I have said into consideration & that this business fixes the rude behavior of its employees. I will not be a...
Read moreWe ordered pick up on a weekday night and picked it up the estimated ~25 minutes later. Ordered Chicken parm, the sampler and toasted raviolis. The containers were full of food (covered in lots of sauce) so that did cause the containers to collapse a little and spill out in the car (so be careful driving home). Maybe a plastic bag over the paper bags would be a good idea, it would also help me carry it all out. Not sure about other reviewers, but everyone I saw was friendly and wearing masks so i felt comfortable picking up. The portion sizes were generous and the taste of everything was outstanding. Tasted like legit, not from a jar, deliciousness! The sampler was so covered in sauce it was hard to decipher what was what, but that was ok because we were going to eat it all. The only real con was that some of the items were cold on the inside but looked thoroughly cooked through so not sure how that happened. But the taste was so great and the value, i honestly would have been willing to eat it cold (although i could easier stick in the microwave for a few). All in all, a few minor tweaks could be made but nothing major. The food and value was definitely worth it and i will totally be back. ...
