Walking into Tous Les Jours bakery is definitely a sensory overload! With the bright lights, glass displays everywhere, and pastries as far as you can see it is a happy dance moment! I first walked around the pastries on display in the center of the main room before making my choice. I was told every pastry is made on the premises (I'd like that)! I selected a cheese/cherry Danish and a cup of earl grey hot tea. I also bought an apple danish and a dessert bread to take home. The prices are very very close to Starbucks and Pete's prices. I fully expected that kind of warmness of fellow customers when I looked for a place to sit(for 2 people). The only open seating was the right side of a large pinkish sofa. I figured I could bring a chair to that side of the sofa and everyone would have a seat! But the "I want the sofa just for us" early 30s couple looked annoyed at the thought of anyone sitting there but them! I guess they've never used the community table at Pete's! My confidence in politeness was rewarded when an older Hispanic couple offered us their spot bc they were leaving. I greatly appreciated their thoughtfulness and didn't let the diva couple on the couch ruin my first visit to Tous Les Jours. I loved that ethnic diversity was prevalent at the bakery.
