My husband and I and friends ordered dinner. We shared a pizza (plain), a meatball hero, chicken parmesan with spaghetti, and a calzone.
The pizza crust was dry and bland. The pizza sauce was a little spicey for my blood.
I did not try the meatball hero but my friend made faces while eating it. I think she didn't want to complain because it was our treat. I didn't try it but judging by her face I don't think I would have been happy.
The chicken parm was dry (the chicken was dry) and tasted like it was frozen and then reheated or was very old. We asked for the spaghetti to be thin, specifically asking for vermicelli or something similar, not wanting "fat" spaghetti. We got fat spaghetti.
We also asked for marinara sauce. We got something with diced onion in it, and a bit too much acid, probably because they added tomato paste. About the onions: News flash to the cook - marinara sauce, even tomato sauce, should not have onions in it unless you advertise it does. Traditional marinara and tomato sauce has herbs and possibly garlic to flavor it, but there should be no vegetables except TOMATOES in the sauce.
The bread served with the chicken parm dinner was blah, and a bit too dense and chewy. It was soaked in a yellow liquid I can only hope was real butter - it certainly wasn't real oil. There was a hint of garlic, just barely enough to know it was garlic bread.
The calzone was dry (the dough) and the cheese was eh. Hardly any flavor, no salt or garlic (should have a hint of garlic). The cheese seemed to be lacking. It should be mozzarella, ricotta, and a little parmesan, plus salt and a little garlic. I think it was just mozz and ricotta stuffed inside blah tuff pizza dough.
I got sick to my stomach before I finished eating. My friends went straight home. My husband got an upset stomach later in the evening. I don't think it was food poisoning, just poorly seasoned food, too many onions, too acidic a sauce, and possibly old left over sauce...

The 1 star rating is generous based on the deplorable treatment my family and I experienced today; blatant racial discrimination. A white waitress pleasantly engaged and served white customers seated across from us. She passed us at least twice without a greeting, eye contact, or an acknowledgement of our presence. After waiting for about 20 minutes, we decided to go inside to order.
Inside, we stood at the customer service counter for several minutes before being acknowledged (the waitress was standing less that 3 feet from us). A white male delivery driver entered the establishment. When greeted, he lowered his eyes and kept walking into the kitchen area.
There were two women who were helpful; one of which was a hostess. The other woman appeared to be a manager. We notified her about our experience. She apologized for the behavior and offered to give us complementary wings. We declined, requested a refund and left without...
Read moreThere are 4 Italian/pizza places in the Massennuten area. So given the resort area, they should be on their A game. Vito's is not. I read a couple a great reviews, but their experience was different from mine. So let me go to the the good first. I was there about 3 on a weekday. I was the only person at the bar and a couple of 4 were at a table behind me. The service was excellent! I ordered a side salad and a small pizza. Oddly enough the side salad and house dressing were excellent. The salad was a mixture of romaine and spinach. Good toppings and a good dressing. They have a few different full salads and I would guess it is worth going there just for a salad. It was that good. The pizza on the other hand was mediocre. I got pepperoni, sausage and onions. I would not go there for pizza. I have been to 2 of the other Italian restaurants in the area and their pizzas are much better, but not...
