We called to place a to-go order and no one answered, so we assumed they were busy. We decided to place our order in the restaurant. Upon arriving around 11:30 pm, we see that there are no cars in the parking lot and no patrons in the restaurant. We walk into the establishment to see almost every single table dirty and unbussed with three employees just standing around. We were told to sit wherever (where is there to even sit?) and someone would be with us shortly. THEN we were asked if it was a pick-up or dine-in. We placed our order with an extremely unenthusiastic young man (granted it is late Christmas day) who took about 5 minutes looking up our simple menu items and prices to ring us up. We paid for our food and decided to wait, simply because it was the only place open. I heard him call out the orders and noticed that he said hashbrowns scattered and peppered. I had ordered hashbrowns scattered, peppered, and country. I asked him if he had got my order of the hashbrowns scattered, peppered, and country correct. He confirmed that he had. So I went outside to wait in the car because the environment was uncomfortable and dirty with the employees discussing their work hours and not at all tending to the restaurants apparent needs. I wait a short amount of time and get my food. Lo and behold, my hashbrowns were not country (with gravy on them) even though I had made sure to confirm it with the employee. I also ordered a double cheeseburger with everything. It didn't have pickles on it and had bacon added to it, which would have been a plus had there not been an upcharge. As we were walking out, a customer came in and was told to sit wherever as well. He paused and looked around, puzzled as to where he should sit. He then had to REQUEST for a table to be cleaned. IN AN EMPTY RESTAURANT. Not to mention we saw two drug deals occur in the parking lot...
Read morePLEASE READ -0 I walked in there with my Son and grandsons... Tammy was our server and after calling out several times to Serenity (cook) she stepped out of the backroom. In doing so, she began barking at her as if she she wasn't loud enough. If she wasn't Serenity wouldn't have yelled at her to pull things. She told her if she was going to work there she needed to do this and that. We were the only ones there so we had front row seats to the rudeness she endured. I'm a bartender with a boss that thinks it's better to try to embarrass you than to have respect for the customer and/or server and take you to another room. In conversation with Tammy I learned that the employees there were trying to get her to quit. My son and I talked about how improper it was and that we needed to write a review. I made sure she could hear my thoughts on this horrible situation Tammy stepped up and ask if we were ok and said she was stepping out for a moment. I knew she needed to. My grandson says "Nana, I think she's going to cry." Well right then I knew, even though her attitude had changed before we left, that I had to warn others of what they could walk into whilst hungry!!! As you can see... She took no time with our food. Things were well done. Hard to do your job properly and fuss unnecessarily at the same time!! This is just one of our 6 plates. Just thrown on the plate .... All potatoes hard. Tammy is the reason I gave the 4 stars. Otherwise I would've...
Read moreI'm usually not dreadfully particular. But, hash browns need a representative darkened crunch to hold their kinship with french fries. When I ask, they almost burn them and I am pleased! My wife gets a waffle and that is all she eats. My son pours an ocean of ketchup on to gravy that's piled over his hash browns. And my daughter is the easiest to please, she goes for the most pricey item on the menu. All the drinks were served. Then only Mama's waffle wasn't. This one wait staff angel stood at the waffle iron to get her waffle. I was impressed. It was my very best Waffle House experience. I have significant age and have been to more than a few Waffle House restaurants. My wife likes those waffles. All the stars lined up! For the rest of our visits- Those were what brought us back. Down to earth breakfast with down to earth pricing and good service. If you really get there often, you will discover when it's most likely that you might have to wait to be seated.
Another visit. There were at least twice the staff as last trip. We did not get the same meal. Yet, everything was good. Tables were cleaned and readied with better speed. That's great because arriving customers entered with about that speed. This was a very busy but...
