I’m honestly so disappointed me and my husband wanted to go ahead and try giving this location a try again since every other time we’ve wanted to it’s been an extremely long line to the point where people just leave or you’ll go to park at their stands and the workers will say once you press the red button “we’re only taking drive thru” no sorry or nothing horrible customer service so by that point nobody comes here we left that time at that. Now today I order a large Buffalo popcorn chicken meal with fries and an ocean water. My husband orders a burger mozzarella sticks and a slush everything was cold first of all! Second of all we did a mobile order just to give them a chance see if maybe when we tried to go last month it was just the crew that was working but no they literally put my popcorn chicken in the coney containers and gave me the bottom pieces of the chicken bag it seemed like! Literally no chicken meat just crumbs and crunchy skin! I never get a large so this was so disappointing saying we were hungry and craving sonic! Oh and since when does sonic give their fries COLD soggy and cold along with stale fries with that I literally had to spit it out it was so bad! Girl said they’re excepting cash only so knowing that there’s a navy federal less than a minute up the road I go take out cash. come back and she says the system is down and I’m like you just said you were only excepting cash?! I’m just getting off of work after working 12 hour shift just wanted to get some food. Two nights in a row, I let it slide, I go back two weeks later, This time, two people are passed out at the window so they can’t take orders, but had us waiting in line for 30 minutes I’m thinking it was because the line was long it was Saturday but no. Anyways, my thought is if you don’t want to work overnight, in a drive thru, at a restaurant, where you have to take orders or anything, work from home. Because there’s no way your system is down that many times in a row and the owner is okay with it or even sees it. Owner probably losing money over this at this point. And I’m not exaggerating or trying to bash it’s just kinda frustrating knowing you’re a 24 hour spot and you’re operating like you close at a certain point at night almost regularly. Read moreI went to this Sonic after 11pm and spent not only the longest time waiting for "fast food" that I have ever spent. After spending nearly 30 minutes waiting, after finally getting to the window, my SO and I hear screaming (pain or frustration, nothing coherent) coming from inside. The person at the window seems less than concerned, so I .... Assume everything is OK. The person at the window was polite enough, but obviously didn't really care. After 30 minutes waiting in line for two hot dogs and a hamburger, we we're finally on our way. The food was good, and I can find no fault in what I was served, but the people running the night shift are, at best, unprofessional and slow. The food was the only saving grace here, and the only reason this establishment got 3 stars.
Edit: several years later, I attempted this restaurant again. I actually had to downgrade my opinion by a star. I ordered 4 hot dogs. All with extra onions. Only one of which was actually what I expected. Instead of adding extra onions to my hot dogs, they gave me nothing but onions on 3 hot dogs. This was not what i ordered. I wanted the normal toppings with EXTRA onions, not 3 hot dogs with nothing but onions.
It seems nothing changed with the evening shift.
