First time in the area and dining in with my family was a horrible experience. If I could give it a zero to a negative I would. Before we made our way to the restaurant, I called first to inquire their lunch buffet rate and if they offer military discount. The woman that answered said $10.25 for the lunch buffet and that they offer military discount (but didn't mentioned the discount percent), she said depending on age and once the military ID per person is presented, they will give their discount. Everything was fine, there were many food selections, couldn't complain for what the rate was for. Although the man that was at the grill could be a little friendlier when I approached him and be willing to help me would better help me understand if it was self-serve service, when making my food selections for the hibachi grill or try to guide me along the way. I ignored that part. But what got me was when we got the bill. When asked why only one military discount, the waiter that was waiting us said the military discount is for one household. At that time I wasn't sure if it was the waiter or the person at the register answered the call, when I had called earlier because somewhere between the phone call the information given was way off. First she said it was her that picked up the call then she said it wasn't her. The waiter became rude, irate and very disrespectful. The rolling of her eyes, throwing her hands in the air trying to argue about the discount. First they didn't asked for my husband's ID, but then asked for mine and my daughter's. She then insulted me by asking if it was me on the ID. Then turned to questioned my daughter, when really if she was smart she could see at how recent my picture was taken, just that I lost weight since I had my baby. Then she turned to my daughter and questioned her too but never asked for my husband's military ID. And then she took both our IDs in the back, as if they're conducting a credit check of some sort. The thing that really sucks about people who speaks their own language, especially in a setting like this, is that as a customer you don't know if they're speaking ill of their customers. All we know in that moment, they were talking about our table, because the only English term I heard was ID and the rest was in their language. And what really baffles me is when she came back to our table and continue on with the interrogation as who the ID's belong to, had she checked my husband's ID and match it with ours it will show who the sponsor is. I don't want to get into too much in details, but I have never been treated this way as far as presenting our IDs just to get a discount. The fact that they continue to carry on the arguing with me and making a scene is so unprofessional and very disrespectful. I did tell the waiter that she shouldn't be a waiter and that what she did was uncalled for. We paid our bill and left no tip. We will not return back and definitely I am warning any military members and their families be prepared to get interrogated and having them walk away from your table with your ID to get a second opinion and approval from another person. Poor service and a waste...
Read moreHad a horrible experience here.. The cook who is always at the grill in the back is super rude. I HAVE PERSONALLY WITNESSEDhim being rude to other customers. But I uswd to Always come here because the prices were pretty decent and the food was ok... it wasnt the greatest..through the last year or so the business has started falling wayyyy off However, it wasnt until the cook at the hibachi grill set up in the back of the restaurant was rude to my 11 year old son who was trying to be served. He spoke rudely to him yelling at him and shoved a plate across the grill at him and yelled at him dont come back and continues to yell at him in which I was not able to decipher what he is saying because his accent is extremely strong.. When I saw and heard this I asked the man what my son did. He yells at me that he put to little food on his plate and continues yelling at me something I was not able to understand. I asked to speak to a manager about the incident. There was a gentleman in the front saying he was the manager.i explained the entire situation to him what occured. He then proceeds to take me to the back of the restaurant where the grill is located and leaves me standing by the rude gentleman at the grill says nothing and walks off back to the front. A few minutes later as I walk back to the front to ask him if he mabey forgot about me and attempt to speak to him he states hes not the manager and that she is coming. 5 minutes later she walks in the door and immediately causes a scene and starts rudely yelling at me. I ASKED HER MULTIPLE TIMES to lower her voice because I am not yelling nor being rude to her. I simply ASKED for someone to apologize to my son for being rude to him. There is no reason an adult should yell at a child that way that has not even spoken a word to them nor shove a plate full of food at them. I was told by the manager that it was not her problem that her employee did that and that she nor her employee would be apologizing to us. Other people in the restaurant stopped what they were doing and looked on and some even came to the front. The customers that were in the front as she entered immediately yelling at me. Were appauled and openly stated that she was rude and had no business as a manger speaking to a customer or anyone for that matter that way. SHE even went as far as calling the cops on us.( my kids, myself and my 80 year old parents) When the cops arrived and spoke to me. They couldnt understand why they were called because I had not threatend anyone, was not irrate, nor had i been asked to leave. The officer told me this is not a first that they have done things like this to people. The officers said they get calls all the time from/ about this place. The way that they treat their customers here is horrible, and rude..the food is not that great anyway. Before the situation I would mabey rate a 2 or 3.. but now I would definately not recommend to anyone. Save your money and go...
Read moreThis is my first time posting a negative review but the experience was so aweful that it is worthy of reporting to the health & food service dept in this area.
My daughter just came off deployment and my son just drove from South Carolina to celebrate his birthday and her safe return. We drove 35 minutes to get to this restaurant just to experience the grill cook be rude and neglectfully handling of food in front of customers.
Me, my son & granddaughter ordered from the grill. While we were fixing our plates the cook was saying in broken English to hurry up and that we were taking too long. He called us slow. I ignored this comment at that time because I may have misheard. Then he was cooking other customers food and one lady asked for extra teriyaki sauce and so the cook deliberately soak her food with the sauce. She had to ask him to stop. Then he was now cooking my 6yoa granddaughter's food and I asked him to make sure the steak was well-done and so he burned it and sliced it open as if to say "is that done enough for you". I was upset at this time but did not say anything.
The cook was getting ready to out my food on the plate somewhat uncooked. So I asked him to cook it a little longer. Another customer walked up and heard my request. The cook threw his hand up at me and walked off. My food was left there to burn. He return a short time later and still left my food burning. I asked him to stir it and when he did the food was completely burned and I just shook my head at the cook in I don't want that. He shrugged his shoulders in a manner of "so what I don't care" and the customer that walked up said he did the same to them.
She also said how he dropped their food on the floor and told her to pick it up cause he didn't work there but he was cooking the food as an employee.
I walked to the counter to get a manager and no manager came. Then an assistant manager listen to both me and the other customers experience and apologized for the cook. We did not display any loud or ugly behavior in our treatment at any time.
She offered to have another cook recook another order. I'm sure this assistant manager did not understand the magnitude of your cook has burned and drop food on the floor and been very rude to the customers and we have traveled pass several hibachi restaurants to come here. Offerring another cook after ruining our meal was the very least she could do. Good management would have offered their very best after being treated like that in their establishment. I will never eat here ever again. if it were possible to give this establishment a negative...
