Wild Rose Cafe Inc — Restaurant in Virginia

I don't want to give ANY stars but you have to give at least one....my husband and I went in on a rainy Saturday afternoon for one drink, bartender had left for a family emergency but ended up returning.....was having a great time, getting decent service (bartender was extremely attentive to one gentleman at bar but we started talking to him and made a new friend) then the bartender's entire attitude changed as she was told my husband he could not have a chair at the bar and at the gambling machine. Apparently "her friend" was standing and she didn't like that but if he wanted to sit he could have sat in my husband's bar chair and he knew this while he stood there and chatted with me. She became angry and was raising her voice telling my husband she was going to "take his chair from him" and he nicely told her no she was not, he was a customer and was not only spending money on food and drinks but in the juke box and gambling machine. She then proceeded to call him an A$%&$# and continued to insult him and me as well by verbally attacking my husband. He said "fine, I will pay by tab and leave", she replied, "I don't want you to leave, just stop being an A$%$$#"....;believe me my husband was being nothing but calm and courteous and having a good time. He insisted that he pay our tab and we leave. He tipped her even though an A$%$#$ WOULDN'T have but she could have ended up with a much larger tip had she not been so disrespectful and more revenue for the bar itself. If this is customary of how you treat your customers then we will not return. Our bill was $113 because my husband is generous and was buying shots for people he had just met at the bar that night. Spent a significant part of New Year's Eve there with my girlfriend. Its a local bar/restaurant with smoking side that includes pool tables, dart boards, bar area and tables and chairs along with gambling machines and a couple of HUGE SMOKE EATERS! I enjoyed a cigar with my beverage while my girlfriend had a cig or two....while we played pool. The other side of the restaurant is non-smoking with a larger version of the smoking side! Live music that night that was nice to listen too! A lot of locals are regular patrons and it was quiet an interesting group....the food was good and the environment enjoyable....if you enjoy a vape, cigar or cigarette with your beverages this is the place in Chester VA!! We went in for a bite to eat for dinner. Waited little more then 15 minutes and were never even acknowledged. One side had people drinking & shooting pool & the other side had every table filled with people playing cards. So we had to sit in the middle area where the bar was located. There were a few 2 seater tables so we sat down at one of them. People were sitting at the bar & the bartender was shooting the bull with friends & the 2 waitresses looked right at us but were obviously too busy with their card playing patrons to come take our order! I'm actually glad we left because if the food is anything like the service, it would have been trash! Do NOT recommend this...
