LONG POST ALERT: Im an advocate for a Google review, i also love to come back and re-write my review after visiting an establishment again. Here's the thing. This was my first time at this restaurant. I LOVED the atmosphere of this establishment. The patio is is large and full of TVs for entertainment. The group that I was with choose to sit out there. Our server was sweet, but she wasn't very attentive. Her name was Raina (or Rena). There were a few times that we wanted refills and she wasn't present. There was also and time where she mentioned to us that she had forgotten about us. (Not a good look). We ordered the goat cheese flatbread which is a must have as an appetizer!!!! For my entree I wanted to order the fried goat cheese berry salad and I wanted to add salmon, however the additional salmon was not an option. I decided to go with one of the burgers and substitute the beef for the beyond burger with a cesar salad as my side. The salad was delicious! The burger looked blah.... really blah. So I ate the salad and once our waitress finally found her way back to our table, I asked for the fish tacos with fries. She never asked us how our food was or why I was ordering a whole new meal. After getting my tacos, I asked her to comp my burger that i didnt eat. She asked her manager and he decided to come half of my meal. I wanted to gain clarity so I asked her if i could speak with him. I ended up having to use the restroom and ran into him on my way back to the table. Here's my takeaway from that conversation: Chris is a whole butt hole. I've never in my life had a man yell at me before simply because I was trying to gain clarity. As a manager of an establishment, how you treat your customers ultimately shows me how you treat your employees and how you run your shift. I had to ask him politely to stop yelling at me because I never once raised my voice. I felt uncomfortable and attacked. I did end up understanding why he made his decision, but I'd be lying if I said that I wouldn't want to go back because of him. It was so bad that the server, Raina, came over and apologized to me for his actions because she said that he was having a "bad day". Either way its unprofessional and a bad look on the restaurant. Please have your owner reach out to me. Regarding...

You'll find a local restaurant located in the old Chesterfield Bank building and some of the best food around. Downstairs is a proper sit down restaurant complete with table cloths, real cutlery, glasses and fresh flowers on each table...something rather rare in these small rural towns. There's even a fireplace in the dining room for cozy evening during the winter.
Upstairs is a proper sports bar with more giant flat screen tvs than you can count so you'll never miss any game. This is clearly a hangout for the locals but they certainly welcome strangers and you'll be sure to make new friends. The windows upstairs overlook the old Courthouse building and a fully lit pecan tree in the adjacent town green, There's even a deck where you can wine, dine and enjoy a perfect sunset above the tree tops. Lovely indeed.
Both dining areas have full menus and full bar service. The food is wonderful and I recommend the steak (either rib eye or filet). Perfectly cooked and seasoned. Vegetable sides include roasted asparagus and garlic mashed potatoes that are cooked to perfection. My dining companion opted for the chicken pasta...such a misnomer because this dish tastes like it could do justice at any big city high priced place...depth and nuance of flavours. But the prices here are so reasonable you'll do a double take when you get the low bill. The menu also offers a variety of dinner salads which are outstanding.
All in all, this is a wonderful surprise to find when so many other places in rural South Carolina neglect the vegetables or care in preparation.
The only negatives...The Bank of Chesterfield is only open for dinners from Wed....
Read moreCome here if you want to wait an hour for your food with no apology or concessions. I came in because I had a $15 gift card from a previous order that was messed up by the Scott’s Addition location. Arrived at 12:31, ordered by approximately 12:45 - an appetizer and two entrees for takeout. Waited one hour for my food. They had one bartender for the bar and high top tables. She was literally running around to take care of everyone. Mentioned to me and a pair next to me a couple times that our food would be out soon. One time mentioning the manager was checking on things.
Once I received my order, the fries were undercooked and half of the boneless wings barely had any sauce on them. I had to ask for my tab after receiving my order, then waited another 10 minutes before asking to speak to the manager.
GM comes out and asks what the issue is. I explain the ticket time, the aforementioned issues with the order, and ask if they scheduled one bartender, since it was just one bartender working the whole bar and tables on a holiday. Rather than apologizing, thanking me for the feedback, anything, he gets defensive about my question regarding one bartender being scheduled, saying something about not sharing how they schedule and asks “ma’am, what would you like me to do?” I told him to take the food off my ticket so I can pay for the beer and leave. Unbeknownst to me, he comped everything. When I try to hand him my phone with the gift card QR, he says with an attitude, “you got everything for free.”
Except I didn’t. I got a beer for free and over an hour of my time wasted.
I used to work at the Flyin’ Pig and the servers (myself included) used to complain about how poorly managed the kitchen was during rushes. Looks like the W&I’s have the same issue and aren’t doing anything to improve...
