I visited this location. There were two girls working—one inside and the other at the counter, who was wearing a bandana. The girl at the counter took my order for a watermelon mojito. I politely asked her if she could use less ice or none at all, IF POSSIBLE. Then she asked me if I wanted milk in the drink, which confused me because, as far as I know, mojitos don't typically have milk. But of course its tropical cafe it was acceptable, but then just because she asked I said no milk. After she relayed the instructions to the girl in the kitchen, the entire experience took a turn for the worse. The girl in the kitchen started acting so weird and made me incredibly uncomfortable with constant comments. Not only did she refuse to make my drink, but she also asked the girl with the bandana to make it instead. The comments continued non-stop while I was standing right in front of her! Her behavior was beyond unprofessional—I'd say she has not just zero customer service skills, but negative ones! If she didn’t want to make the drink, she could have simply told me they couldn’t do it that way, instead of making such a scene. This isn’t my first time at a Tropical Smoothie; it's a well-known brand, so I'm definitely not new to this. But the attitude I encountered here was absolutely unhealthy and unwelcoming. To top it off, I saw them offer a free smoothie to another group of boys in a completely different, much more positive manner. Was this because I'm a girl? It was a clear signal that they didn't want my business. Worst place to visit. I won’t be...
Read moreSecond time coming to this location, and I will NEVER go back. The first time, last week, I had ordered my food in the shop. I waited 45 mins to get my order (I had seen a ton of preorders being made, so I thought I should do that next time). The second time, I had ordered online and even picked up my order an hour late. When I came in I had noticed my order wasn't off to the side. So, I asked the employee behind the counter to check. She said that the ticket is there, but nothing was made. Five minutes later I had received my drink, but no sandwich. I thought they were making it...I did not see anyone in the kitchen. I asked the employee behind the counter what is going on with my sandwich. She tells me that they were out of brie, so they didn't make the sandwich. I told her another sandwich to replace it with and waited for that to be made. Then I was given a card to a free meal there. I am not going back there. It is a waste of time, energy, and money to deal with that mess. On top of that, no one wears name tags or company shirts, so all the employees look like they just wondered in from off the street. Another employee was getting food to her friends and another had to be told to wash his hands. This place is shameful. My recommendation is to fire the current staff and find...
Read moreFoods not bad, usually hot. Ive never had a comfortable experience at this store though. The employees give such a hostile vibe, that even just waiting for my food makes me uncomfortable. No music so its just me and the employee ignoring me behind the counter making an o line order. Sitting here in silence. Im honestly not even sure if she saw me. She eventually saunters to the back, the back up to the front to me, phone in hand. She still has yet to make eye contact. I place my order and wait. At least I know my food will be fresh, but I WILL be late to work. Previous experiences here tell me I have to pay attention, they dont call names when orders are ready, they just walk out and put it on the shelf. So we all have to gather to check each order. So I wait. I just wanted a smoothie. Here's the rest of my experience live:
Update 1: I saw the employee touching her phone while cutting the bananas for my smoothie 🫠
Update 2: it wasn't MY smoothie. Which doesnt make me feel any better. She did not name anyone when she put the smoothie on the shelf so I couldnt be sure. I have mine now and will be, hopefully, not...
