Never know what to expect from a place called "Mrs. Taco". But when you enter from the exterior (just a little corner parking area with Starbuck, a hotel, and a few other places), it transforms into a nice little Mexican restaurant. It's a fast casual sort of establishment, not fast food. It's definitely not a "dive mex" place. For sure a place you can take your work colleagues if you wanted a decent place to sit.
There is both indoor and outdoor seating. Your meals are brought to you.
The food I have had there is great. Not the absolute best, but solid. The Nachos with are enormous. If you can eat them all, wow. The burritos are good, but not fantastic. Large, plenty of meat, but the ratio, to me, of meat/beans/whatever else is a bit off. The tortilla is also good, but not amazing. All in all, I still generally order burritos.
They have some other things you might not get at a normal fast food mex joint, like fajitas, salads, and quite a few seafood options (inclduing ceviche). If you have kids, they do have a kids menu, and it does include chicken nuggets in case your children are picky (I've not tried...
Read more1 star 1:51pm I've been coming to this establishment for over three years. I food is okay, and the service has always been good.
Unfortunately, I went by there today to be rudely treated by the Manager. It was so bad, I just asked for my money back after being personally insulted by the so called Manager.
As you might imagine, I'm never coming back to Mrs Taco... We've all heard of the upcoming generation as slackers, non-listeners, rude, and misunderstood sense of entitlement.
Well, I've finally met one and he calls himself a Manager at Mrs Taco.
It was a simple mistake, he entered my order wrong and when I checked the order (I knew he was not listening) and pointed it out him, all the Manager could do is find fault with me, and began to insult me personally.
So, this is how Mrs Taco's Manager treats long time customers when they, the Manager, makes a mistake?
Mrs Taco you have just lost a customer due to your mature and highly educated Manager. I am never coming back, and will steer all my friends to never eat your rude and nasty...
Read moreI had a great time at Mrs Taco. We were recommended to the establishment by the concierge at our hotel after requesting where the locals would go for authentic Mexican food.
It's located in a strip mall and although you place your order at the front, as you would at a fast food restaurant, they bring your food to your table like a sit down style. We had more than plenty to eat and when I decided to try their churros they were made fresh. They were some of the best churros that I've eaten.
The cons of the establishment as all establishments have. If you don't speak a little Spanish or have trouble with people who have an accent you may have a little trouble understanding when ordering. The other is that pop refills are an additional charge.
Other than that, I believe that if you're in the mood for Mexican you won't leave with your stomach empty.
noteI had the fajita with steak...
