I actually googled this place and read the reviews before going..i guess they're known for their burgers but i wanted yaki mandu which wasn't bad but i wasn't expecting them to be so small. The bulgogi was EXTREMELY salty and cold. It looked like it was some leftover rice out of the cooler. The steak was just slung on top of the rice. No green onions..no presentation whatsoever! The soup was disgusting and cold. The wait was 30 min at the least. For the price and for that long of a wait i would expect fresh food. To be honest in the back of my mind im thinking ..did they just scrape off another person plate and put it in my to go container? Thats how bad it tasted AND looked. I regret not going down to Killeen to get my Yaki Mandu fix. That 16$ I spent there could've been my gas money. I gave that disgusting soup to my dog. Ughhh I'm so disappointed in this place. Welp..you live and you learn. I wouldn't recommend this place to any family or friends. I'll roll the dice with the all you can...
Read moreLiving in Waco my whole life, I've always heard that Kitok is THE place to go for great food but for some odd reason, I've never been until today. 5 stars and heres why:
The garden out front shows me they care about using healthy and quality ingredients.
Their location has always stayed the same and they haven't "magnolia-ed" up the place.. its original and that's what Waco needs more of.
Friendly service and family owned/ operated establishments always make you feel right at home. It doesn't get any better than listinging to 90s country while eating a plate of bulgolgi.
Outstanding food! I had the lip locker burger, and my girlfriend had the bulgolgi. We couldn't stay out of each other's plates!
Price. For a couple to eat this good of a dinner, it costs a bit. As I was finishing up my burger half drunk from the flavor while Alan Jackson was serenading us from the overhead radio, I thought to myself, "Ima have to pay someone an extra $20 for this kind...
Read moreMy husband and daughter have been talking about this place for 30 years and I finally got to go. A wonderfully small Korean restaurant that also has hamburgers and other sandwiches as well. The parking lot is dirt and gravel. The exterior of the building could use a little attention. There is a small garden in front of the restaurant beside the road that needs some help. You walk in to see directly into the kitchen, feeling the heat and watching the magic coming to life. There are only what may be 15 or twenty small tables in the place, and they are all kept clean. Then you are introduced to the menu. There aren't six or more pages of options, but maybe, three. Three delightful pages of real food. This place is a secret that really isn't a secret to the locals. I hope it stays that way. I love everything about it, just the way it is, just the way it has been...
