Poppa Rollo's Pizza - Hewitt Dr. — Restaurant in Waco

I am currently eating here at Poppa Rollos now. When I walked in, I was asked if I wanted a table or a booth, I chose a booth and the middle aged hispanic lady informed me that I would need to wait for her to clean the table because the only booth that was available was dirty. Instead of her going to get a towel to clean the table with, she proceeded to wait on 2 other tables while I was standing in the middle of the floor waiting to sit at a clean booth. After she finally cleaned the booth, she asked for my drink order and I went to the buffet. The salad bar needed to be wiped now and although they had pizza on the buffet, it was overcooked and dried out. The entire time that I was there, the waitress lady bypassed me and proceeded to ask the other patrons if they needed anything else. She never asked me. After a while, she finally dropped off a refill of my coke, not even communicating with me to see if I even wanted a refill or if I wanted anything else other than coke. After everyone else pretty much cleared out of the restaurant and I was 1 of 2 people left in there, she then proceeded to ask me if i was OK. This is after I had finished eating and have been patiently waiting for my ticket. I asked her for the ticket. My total came to $16.22. I gave her $20.25 and she had the audacity to ask me if I needed change. I told her yes I would like my change. I really hope she did not expect a tip because i felt like I was not treated the same as the other patrons in the restaurant, she never came to check on me and she wasn't friendly to me like she was with anyone else. I will not be back. I believe in good customer service and I didn't even get fair customer service today. I do not care how great the food is, bad customer service will always keep me from patronizing and spending my hard earned money at an establishment. I feel like she needs to be restrained to treat all customers equally and not stereotype because she will cause the establishment to loose alot of customers that were treated this way due to...

I have ordered food from here twice. The first time they botched my order by mixing toppings for the half and half pizza. They offered to add toppings to the pizza and run it back through the oven to heat it up. This seemed like a decent idea, but in reality it resulted in a mess of toppings sitting unanchored to the already melted cheese below, which resulted in toppings routinely falling off when eating. In the end, I felt ok about the experience because they offered a free pizza. The manager said the free pizza was added to my phone number in their system. The second time we ordered, I told them on the phone that I had a free pizza on my account, but they said they did not show that in the system. Luckily, the guy on the phone remembered my botched order from a managers meeting discussion and went ahead and honored the free pizza. When I arrived to pick it up, I sat in the drive through area for several minutes with no one coming to assist. I went inside and saw the manager that gave me my free pizza on previous visit. I informed them I had been waiting for order. When the brought it out, my bill it did not include free pizza. When I informed them it was free, I began to get strong resistance and questioning the validity of my story. After several rounds of back and forth and them asking who I spoke with and asking for more information to fact check my claim, the attendant said “the manager was too busy to deal with this so she wishes you a good evening” the attendant then crumpled up the receipt, which was my clue they they were not charging me, which was a statement never said to me. To boot the wings had soggy skin and bbq chicken pizza had approximately 12 chunks of chicken on it. I’m done with this place, poor service poor...

On the road 6 hours. Got home @ 845P, we did not want to cook. Called for pick up 1 Large, 1 small, and an appetizer for the family. Was told 30 mins from when we ordered...when we got there no hostess, the wait staff, rather than asking questions waved us off and said they were going to look for the hostess. But really they just stated the people that came in after us. Rather than getting the hostess. When we did get help we were told the appetizer was ready. We could just stand and wait or sit and wait. It would just be 8 more minutes. I paid at about 911P. When the time got to be 945P. I finally found one of the wait staff behind the bar. I signaled to her. However, it was just easier to call out from the other end of the bar. She let all of us know at the bar that the SMALL pizza was taking a longer time. We could see the people in the kitchen dancing, standing around, even just talking like they were hanging out at home...All this time and not once did any wait staff approach and ask if we wanted a soft drink, a beer, or even a water. Nor an apology after waiting around until after 10P when finally the food we ordered before 9p, the luke warm appetizer, the barely warm large 4 topping pizza, and the small pizza that took 8 minutes longer from 911P to just after 10P. Which was really 42 minutes later. I will not go back here. I will drive an extra 5 minutes and pick up a hot pizza from Old Chicago Pizza. At least they understand and provide better...
