I am usually not one to leave reviews, but this was definitely needed! My husband and I decided to let the craziness of Valentine's Day calm down a little and went the day after to enjoy us a steak dinner. He ordered a porterhouse steak, and I got a Pat's ribeye. We also ordered an appetizer of chips w/brisket queso. We both opted on potato soup as our option with the plates. We got all of our food surprisingly fast. The presentation was overall excellent. Both of us ordered our steaks medium. I have been a waitress for many years and have always been taught to have your customers cut their steaks to check for wellness before walking away to ensure they are cooked to their liking. That was not the case here as they bought our plates and walked away. My husband and I are not ones to complain, so we ate it as is. My husband ate the majority of his, but I only ate about a quarter of mine. It was way undercooked and extremely over seasoned. As we sat and enjoyed a couple drinks during and after eating I finally worked up the courage to mention to one of the servers about my steak being undercooked and over seasoned her response was just a simple "oh I'm sorry about that". Also, I had gone to the bathroom, and one of the waitresses had gone in the stall, I'm assuming she went and peed. She flushed the toilet and walked right out!! Even if she didn't pee the fact of going in and touching the handle to flush and walk out without washing her hands blew my mind!!! Thank God she wasn't our waitress because I couldn't imagine her handling our plates of food!! ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING!!!!! In the end, we discussed the fact that our favorite part of our meal was the chips and queso, then the soup, and the beers, then lastly was our steaks. I do not know that I can see us ever coming back here. Which is sad because this is our first visit here (as we just moved here from San Antonio, where Saltgrass is one of our top favorite places to go for a steak.) I brought my steak home and rinsed it off and cooked it better to not have our money go to waste on what was supposed to be our Valentine's date night. Spending over $140 for dinner and a couple drinks and not enjoy it is pretty sad!

Let's talk about Salty Grass, I visited it because some friends invited me. When I arrived, I realized that logically, I was in a steak house. My friends had already ordered, and so I sat down and ordered my appetizer, some fried mushrooms. My friends ordered Chip and Cheese with Brisket and an order of fried onion. But I'll talk about that later. I also ordered an order of Ribs with Chicken and mashed potatoes as a side. And my friends ordered 2 T-Bone steaks. After several minutes, the dishes arrived. The nachos with cheese looked good, although I didn't try them. The Onion looked soft, but I didn't try them either. The mushrooms, on the other hand, were not crispy, something that was strange to me since they claimed to be fried. Had no crispness anywhere. When I went to try the ribs, they had a strong grilled flavor. That flavor when the grill is too hot and you just burn the meet, yes, that flavor. Although the ribs were soft and came off the bone on their own. And the barbecue sauce was little to non excited. The predominant flavor was the taste of the hot grill and burnt meat. The chicken had a sauce that I personally didn't like. But the worst was the mashed potato, a sandy mashed potato, which you could tell they had mixed mashed potato from a box, with a little real potato to give it the appearance of a real potato. That was really disappointing. They didn't even take the time to do it right. One of the steaks came out well, medium well as expected. But another of the steaks was completely raw when asked for Medium rare. I know what a piece of meat is supposed to look like when you order it that way, and apparently, they didn't know how to cook it medium rare... Overall, I give them 3⭐️ Although the customer service as impeccable, and the waitress really did a great job. Do I go back? I don't think it is worth. If you really want a great SaltGrass Steak, take it to go and re-cook it at home. I did and came out way better.

We had reservations at 6pm and when we arrived, we were told they were getting our table ready and would be just minute. We watched many people come in and be seated right away. It was 6:20 and we were tired of waiting to be seated. No one was saying anything to us but we wanted drinks and were celebrating my husband's birthday so we became anxious and asked how much longer for our table? The 4 hosts looked at each other confused and then magically our table was ready and we were seated. The Ranch Rattlers appetizer was great with Shrimp, Jalapeño and cheese and Fried Onions but then when my husband got the Cajun Ribeye with shrimp on top he said the shrimp and topping was terrible. He scraped it off and just ate the rest. Also, my niece got a shrimp meal and didn't like the way that shrimp tasted either and said it was chewy. I got the plain Ribeye and it was great. The fries were not so good. We were all very surprised that each one of our meals came with only one side and a salad especially my sister in law who absolutely does not like salads or vegetables. We could not order a different side which we thought was very strange. The prices are high for the quality of food and being forced to eat salad. We still had a good time once we all got our drinks. My niece had to wait until we received our food and everyone else was half done with their drinks before getting her Sangria so that was not very good either. Our server Adrian was very nice and fun. Also, no desert was provided free for the birthday guy, my husband, but my nephew paid for it so that was nice. The chocolate cake was amazing and came with vanilla ice cream and drizzled with chocolate sauce on top. I recommend that. Oh and I recommend the Cheese Froes appetizers thar my nephew got. Those were delicious and such a large amount of food. We all tried those and loved them.

My husband and I visited this establishment a few days ago. We had heard so much about it. We had about a 10 minute wait which was not bad considering the time we arrived. I will just get to the point. Our dine-in experience was very unpleasant.. We ordered the potato soup before our meal and enjoyed it for a few minutes before the waitress came by to see if we were ready to order. My husband informed the waitress we will be ordering salads before our meals and to give us about 7 minutes to finish up our soups. I informed the waitress I was ready to order my salad (with ranch dressing on the side) and once my husband heard my request he ordered his as well (ranch dressing on the side)... From this point everything went left field... When the salads came out they both were drenched in ranch dressing as well as my husband requested onions and did not receive the onions on his salad. We ate on the salads for a few minutes and then the waitress came back and said it has been 7 minutes are you ready to order?! To my surprise we already had our salads and we were eating them so there was no need for her to come back in 7 minutes to take the order for the salads... So I asked her politely what is the rush... and her reply was that you said to come back in 7 minutes.... I explain to her we are not in a rush we are taking our time and eating. At that point we didn't see her again for about 20 minutes or more she never came to see if we needed refills or anything. When she finally came to take the orders the orders were wrong when they arrived at the table. My husband ordered broccoli with his salmon and baked potato I on the other hand ordered asparagus with my chicken and rice. When she finally brought the meals out I had broccoli and chicken /rice on my plate and a order of asparagus on a side plate. I told her she could take asparagus back to the kitchen bring my husband his broccoli and I would just keep the broccoli that was on my plate and her solution to this was for me to scrape the broccoli off my plate and give it to my husband!! In all my life I have never heard of a waitress or waiter asking someone to scrape something off of their plate to give to someone else after they (waitress) made the mistake with the order. This waitress need to be retrained in customer service as well as how to communicate and to articulate request from the customers. We will return because the food was great! The service that was rendered was just poor. We are military people and not used to this type of unprofessionalism.

*Kudos to the gentleman who came to our table to ask if we needed anything. I believe he said he was some form of supervisor..

*Kudos to the young lady who brought us out our to-go boxes.. They are what you would call exemplary employees and should be acknowledged for going above and beyond.
