We frequent this location often. I really can't understand all the negative reviews here. This is actually one of the few places in Waco (post pandemic) where we KNOW we can still get a descent meal . I mean it's fast food so I guess you have to take that into consideration and alter your expectations. Not only is it fast food but it's currently fast food in a broken economy. It's hard to find employees willing to work much less have customer service skills and I'm sure it's also hard to keep things stocked for businesses and restaurants right now the cost is hard on us all .All kidding aside we've been so disappointed in restaurants around here in the last year that we've pretty much stopped eating out completely that includes fast food restaurants down valley Mills drive.- But this particular sonic has remained a place to pick up lunch or dinner for us when we don't want to cook. - I guess if I really wanted to find something to complain about today I could say the chili taste alittle burnt on our order today and also I wish they would fix the machines to make ordering easier. First time was early afternoon, they give my order to someone else but they realize, and im thinkin', okay covid, dont wanna take it from the people they gave it to on accident to give to me, they're gonna remake it. NOPE i have to bug them, after convincing them I really did have an order they come out with it. TONIGHT i order ahead for ONE MEDIUM SONIC BLAST, says its coming out..i wait about 10min before I press the button. Dude says its coming out right now.. I wait another 10min, press the button, girl says she'll look into it.. THE TERMINAL RESTARTS.. i wait I DONT KNOW HOW LONG AT THIS POINT, press the button AGAIN. Finally just ask for a refund. The woman I spoke with when I called wrote down my name and the burrito, and said when I came back the next day, all I had to do was give them my name. I went back and was told to wait for a car hop to come out to talk to me. That didn't happen, but eventually the manager came out and said he couldn't do anything without my receipt. I explained that the woman told me I only needed my name. He refused to listen, saying he might get "talked too but not actually in trouble" if he didn't have a receipt. He eventually offered it for half price, but I wasn't going to pay even more for something I had already purchased.
