Honestly I had to take a small drive before I posted a review. The service was so bad I simply don’t have words. But during my drive I came to realize that it’s a new company and they were “short staffed” they said. SO……I tried a new dish to me- the chicken lemongrass plate. The food presented very well and tasted great. My sauce was rich in flavor and the veggies were perfect texture. Rice was average. Would absolutely order again. Any meat or vegetables would be just fine. Above par dish for up north food. My spouse had the chicken crispy noodles. We needed more sauce so having some on the side would have been nice. To me the sauce was too strong in ginger (I have a weak palette). My husband said “B-“ dish- little salty for his liking and the sauce was needed for the crispy noodles to enjoy at all stages of noodle texture. The veggies and chicken were cooked perfect. The drinks were fine just never refilled. We had fried cream cheese wontons as an appetizer and it was incredible! Filled full with cream cheese and fried just a touch too much for our taste but next time we will suggest that and we expect them to be perfect! So looking forward to that. When Minnesota Family suggested Sonny's as the halfway point to meet (from where I was staying), I assumed I was in for (yet) another Bar & Grill experience with the standard Pub fare. Imagine my delight when I walked in and found it was Asian Fusion. In the middle of small town Minnesota? The food is a delightful mix of Chinese and Vietnamese and the portions are huge. We enjoyed the Shrimp Fried rice, which contained the largest shrimp I'd ever seen away from the Coast(s), the House Special Crispy Noodles (SO good!) and Sonny's Special and everything was delicious. The food also arrived very quickly. I truly cannot say enough good things about our Friday evening dining experience. If I'm ever back in Wadena, I will make it a point to visit...

First time going in and was very pleased with everything. The seating area is very open with lots of seating and still spacious. Everything was clean and well kept. The food was amazing! Everything that was ordered was much better than expected. Fresh ingredients, tons of flavor and no leftovers to be had. I definitely recommend to anyone looking for something out of the ordinary...
