The $13-$14 pepperoni pizza is about an inch bigger than a personal pan and was incredibly greasy. The insanely expensive bacon cheddar fries had 5 crumbles of bacon on them, less than half a slice. pretty sure they are supposed to come with ranch too. ordered a large order of fried mushrooms, which is pretty much the same price as 2 small orders so I assume the large is a double order but only came with a single packet of salad ranch. 2 small orders would have cost a few cents more and would have come with 2 packets of ranch, I assume. but salad ranch is not dipping ranch so that was real weird. Ended up using the ranch we had at home. The mushrooms were good though. Not over or undercooked but just right. I had ordered from this place because my ex husband ordered a larger pizza from them while he was here over Thanksgiving and I had a slice and it was pretty amazing pizza. but the food I got yesterday was not close to the same level at all. As a single mom, we can only afford to have takeout once a month so to get a personal pan size pizza and cheesy fries with pretty much no bacon, a $4 bottle of soda and a bunch of mushrooms with a single packet of salad ranch, and spend $40 even after our $5 discount credit from DD, super disappointing. We could have gottem twice as mich food elsewhere.
Hate to say this but we will definitely stick to chain pizza places from now on. Which is sad because their menu choices were exciting and varied. Unfortunately that may be the issue. Quality over Quantity should be the focus and I imagine having all of those options means a lot of the food either starts frozen and/or goes to waste which costs the business so much money and results in insane prices. I have watched enough restaurant makeover shows to know that an extensive menu costs more than it pays out. Only part of the order that made sense at all. price wise, was the mushrooms. but even then you'd expect a thick dipping ranch with them. If you are going to charge Applebees or Friday's type prices, you should be able to keep up with the same standards of quality...
Read moreI ordered chicken Tenders and Jo Jo’s and they were mushy which is upsetting because we order there Alot!!! I called to Explain what was wrong and asked to talk to the manager a guy got on the phone and said he was the owner. He wanted me to drive the food back to pizzazios So he could see because they cook them all day and this never happens , I Dont know how anyone could say mistakes have Never happen at his store, that is humanly impossible everyone makes mistakes. So When I said I couldn’t bring them back I asked if he was saying I was lying, and he said no, but yet he had to see them so he could talk to the cook and make changes but yet he had already told me that mistakes don’t happen because it’s on a timer so I was very confused we eat there a lot so why would I call just this time we order enough that they have my husband and my information from our phone number when we call in ??? Should you have to air fry food that was just pick up? The Guy reluctantly said he was Mike Pizzazios when I asked what his name was because he said he was the owner if he is really that’s just sad ! to not believe a customer who is a good customer . After he pretty much said I was lying because he needed to see it with his own eyes pretty much said if I didn’t drive them back that’s it , Then I said I will just blast it on facebook then he said something when he hanging up on me he mumbled something about gift cards I didn’t hear exactly what he was saying as He Hung up on me, That is Just Bad business specially if he was the owner And awful customer service, and he just lost good customers because he treated them like they were lying. The Chicken Tenders were not even golden brown they looked so mushy and a pale color because the weren’t Cooked enough , So if The Owner Acts Like That I Don’t Suggest Going There ! We spent $30 on food and had to recook it , Thanks For Nothing Mike pizzazios
And By The Way They Were picked up in the time they said they would be ready we didn’t let them sit there they said 20 minutes and we picked...
Read moreCould be a good pizza, but the pies we had suffered 3 fatal mistakes:
The pies were underdone. The dough was not the worst or best I’ve had. It isn’t a traditional NY style slice. It falls into the “fluffier” category of doughs. Not booming with flavor, so I doubt it ferments for very long. The flour doesn’t appear to be a super high quality flour. Overall, an OK taste. However, it wasn’t cooked long enough to support the weight of the pie. Much too floppy, even when given a proper crease.
Problem number 1 was made worse by this problem: WAY too much (low quality) cheese. Low quality cheese gets greasy when it cooks. And as it cools down, it congeals on top of the pie. The weight of the greasy cheese combined with the undercooked dough made for an extra floppy slice. This pizza had an overwhelming amount of cheese (which some folks actually like on their pie).
Not enough sauce. Which is unfortunate, because the very little amount of sauce that I tasted was great! I’d say it was actually the best part of the pie. Nice and sweet. Good flavor. Just how a pizza sauce should taste. The lack of sauce also draws attention to the cheese problem because the greasy cheese is just sitting on a slimy underlayment of crust (which is also saturated with grease because there is no sauce barrier).
We will order again and give them another shot. But we will ask for 1/4 the amount of cheese, 2x the amount of sauce, and a more well-done pie. Simple fixes. But they will make a world...
