When we first arrived, we were optimistic—after all, it was a new place, and we were eager to give it a shot. We were greeted with bread, Coke, and a martini, but had to ask for the water we had ordered. Our waitress was friendly enough and took our orders with a smile. The mussels were actually quite good—fresh, flavorful, and perfect for dipping in the sauce with the bread. 🤌🏼 But then came the main course, the $40.99 filet mignon and the $37.99 ribeye. My husband and me were both left staring at our plates, questioning reality. These steaks didn’t look like steaks—they looked like they had been boiled in some sad, damp steam bath and had no business being served on a plate. The taste was just as disappointing. The filet was thin, fatty, and completely devoid of seasoning. When the waitress came over and asked how everything was, we were honest. We told her the steaks were awful. She offered a simple apology and she promised to send the manager. When the Manager arrived, instead of asking what was wrong, he immediately launched into a spiel about how they cook their steaks on a flat grill, as if that somehow explained away the abomination on our plates. We stated, no, that wasn’t the problem. The problem was that the food tasted awful, and my filet was very fatty and thin. His response? He smugly said, "My reviews say it's delicious." Well that’s wonderful; sometimes we have bad days. At this point, I just wanted to pay for the mussels and drinks and get out of there. But he kept going—arguing, insisting his food was good, and making bizarre statements about making 40 steaks for us (still unclear on what that was supposed to accomplish). I asked for the check again, and again, and again. He continued to argue, raising his voice until I finally had to raise my voice, put my foot down and demand to leave. In the end, we walked away not just dissatisfied with the food, but absolutely floored by the absurdity of the whole situation. A manager who can’t take criticism and insists his food is the “best” despite all evidence to the contrary? A culinary disaster paired with poor customer service. We’ll be sure to tell everyone about your incredible food and...
Read moreService, food, and the entire experience sucked. The Caprese : tomato wasn’t ripe, very pale in color and no taste. Chicken parm : frozen pre-battered chicken breast was simply nasty. Cheese pizza : took about an hour.
Caprese was ordered as a meal but came out first. (I can understand this because it’s a quick easy appetizer). Then about 15 minutes later my chicken parm came out. Then about 30 minutes later the cheese pizza came out. Our waitress lacked basic training. We didn’t order appetizers, she came to our table to say she was going get some bread. She came back with the bread then walked away. (Our menus were closed and stacked together as we were waiting to order food) she came back about 10minutes later to take orders. She had no clue how to set dishes on the table and was trying to hand them to us. He nails were long and seemed to cause issues with her trying to hold/handle dishes . Bill for these dishes and 3 teas was $67.00 I gave a $5 tip because she said sorry the pizza took so long. We walked in at 11:05 and walked out at 12:45. I truly believe they forgot about our pizza until we told her we were still waiting for it when she...
Read moreI ate there with my son a few days ago. The waiter was fantastic. The rolls were good and fresh. My son said his spaghetti was great and the meatballs were some of the best he had. I got the vodka penne and chicken piccata because they are two of my favorite dishes. The penne was good but more on the bland side than in a significant contrast, the chicken piccata had a very OVERWHELMING caper taste. It looked like they put half a jar of capers in my pasta and it tasted like it too. I took it home and tried it again but after 2 bites, I threw it away. I couldn’t take the taste of it anymore. The lemon cake was absolutely amazing. I gave 4 stars only because the chicken piccata was bad and unlike any piccata I have ever had before. If you cut the amount of capers in half, I am sure the dish...
