Chen's Kitchen — Restaurant in Wake Forest

The folks here are very nice, the food is decent. It's no different than any other "next to foodlion" chinese joint.. Always with an accompanied nail salon or laundry. It's just plain decent Chinese style food. Why do all these places taste the same? Because they all get their food delivered from the same distributor. The restaurant is kinda nasty on the inside which is what keeps this from getting 4 stars. It's like they built it in the 80s and have not updated anything since. Often the owners children are sitting around(look to be 8-12 year olds) or sleeping on the chairs late at night.. Just not very professional/respectable. CHICKEN TASTED LIKE RUBBER AND RECEIVED A SKIMPY PORTION, RICE WAS BLAND, "GARLIC" SAUCE" TASTED LIKE PURE SUGAR -- AND THE WORST PART IS THAT ITS OVERPRICED. THIS MIGHT BE THE WORST CHINESE FOOD I'VE EVER HAD THE DISPLEASURE OF TASTING. I WOULD SOONER GO HUNGRY THAN EVER EAT HERE AGAIN. THIS PLACE IS A DISASTER WITH A PENDING HEALTH CODE VIOLATION. A REAL DISGRACE TO AMERICAN-CHINESE CUISINE, AND AN EVEN BIGGER DISGRACE TO THE TIME-HONORED NC TRADITION OF A GOOD CHINESE SPOT NEXT TO THE FOOD LION. They are very stingy with ketchup and the duck sauce. The owner will ask how many?(sauces) instead of being freegame like other Chinese restaurants. She needs to stop being so stingy. She is very rushy. The people that I know spend a lot of money there, we keep them in business! But we will fall back and stop going if this behavior continues. Sometimes the owner can be rude and rushy. She needs to slow down and be patient with each customer. This is the only place in my town that has Chinese food. She needs to be more respectful to her customers. I understand that it gets busy but each paying customer deserves respect...
