READ THE REVIEWS BEFORE GOING!!!
Not sure how it had a 4.2 rating
How can there not be negative stars? Headed to Baton Rouge and the husband was in the mood for Asian and sushi. He found this place with a 4.2 rating so let’s go there. He really wishes he had read some of the reviews first. We go in and are quickly seated. We go over to the Buffet and grab some food. Some of the items were mystery meat or something. Who knows what road kill they might have found. The frog legs tasted like cinnamon. There was a roll that looked like a spring roll and well, it had some form of meat in it and we couldn’t tell what it was. We questioned everything we ate. I think maybe the fried shrimp was the only palatable thing on the buffet. The mei fun, which is normally one of my favorites, was disgusting. I’m not sure what in the world the flavor of it was but my husband saw the look on my face and knew he wouldn’t eat it. Spitting out food into a napkin is something I don’t do but I did. So did the husband. The feeling we had in our stomach after leaving wasn’t pleasant whatsoever. There was rush to get to a bathroom soon after. It’s the second worst Chinese buffet we’ve ever had. I’d suggest not ever trying it. It’s horrible. My husband kept calling it foo king after we left. I asked why. He said because it was “foo king” horrible.

Read moreWent here in a Wednesday after work. The server was a nice girl, she didn't speak much English though so we couldn't ask questions about the buffet selections. This would have been less of a concern except the food items are not consistently labelled so you have to look and try to figure out what contains seafood; I was with someone who has seafood allergies. I asked the server which eggrolls had seafood and was told the "long ones" did. I picked what I thought was a pork one, only to bite and find crab (thankfully I don't have an allergy). My companion picked at a few items but neither of us trusted anything after that.
The food itself was typical buffet. No real temperature control so nothing was really hot or really cold. The tempura rolls I tried were almost room temperature but tasted ok. The dumplings... not so much. The sesame chicken and beef both tasted good but the texture of both meats was soft - almost gelatinous - like they had been blended into a paste and then reformed. I didn't try the desert bar, nothing caught my attention (except the clams/oysters sharing the space with salad, desserts, and fruit).
We felt $10.99 per person was a bit much. No way would we have thought $17.99 worth it. Definitely can say we won't be going back, which was disappointing since we thought the crowds on Sunday were a...
Read moreI have to say I’m glad they added blue crabs back to the Friday buffet without the ridiculous price. Friday nights will be my favorite night. I don’t like competing against pigs like at a pig trough over snow crabs for a 22.00 price excluding drink. I am happy to settle for the blue crabs on Friday night buffet. Thanks. Please make sure to keep the same cook as before and keep the crawfish and crabs spicy and flavored good. 🤗 this past Friday, everything was perfect. Absolutely perfect.
Update: came here again on The next Friday and not so good. Stopped cooking 1 1/2 hours before closing. We ate last 2 crabs and were dry with no juice. We were hoping for more fresh ones, I asked 1 hour before closing if they were putting more out ad the guy said yes. 30 minutes before closing I asked and was told it would take 30 minutes to cook. I can understand not cooking or putting fresh food out 30 minutes before Closing but 1 1/2 hours before closing is unacceptable. If I have to pay full price for buffet 1 1/2 hours before closing then they should be putting food out 1 1/2 hour before closing. So I guess it’s kind of...
