5-25 Yet again standing around waiting for my food even though I arrived 7 minutes after I placed my order the Blackened tenders had not been started. I appreciate and understand that they are made to order. But it would be nice if the restaurant actually started them when they received the order not 8-10 minutes after they received it. Today was 8 minutes after ordering because I watched the cook seasoning them after I gave the staff my name. Last week at the Division Ave location it was 10 minutes after I arrived because when I asked the staff and he asked the kitchen the cook had forgotten to cook them. You would think for the insane prices they charge you'd get better service.
2-7 Arrived at store 8 minutes after placing carry out order through the app. And my blackened tenders hadn't even been started. It's like the staff spend more time standing around talking and joking than paying attention to the incoming carry out orders. And when someone finally came to the counter she told me 4 minutes yet it's been 8 minutes and she went and hid in the back. And the manager who came up front is ignoring me.
Update 1-25-24. I decided to eat here today as they have brought back the big box deal. As always the service was bad. I stood there for several minutes even though I could see my order was ready. The young lady working behind the counter looked at me several times and just ignored me. Finally another staff member came to the counter and acknowledged me.
The chicken was fine as usual but the sides were ridiculous. Firstly the containers have gotten about 25% smaller while the prices have gone up around 30% over my last visit. And to top it off BOTH sides were only about half full. Look at the picture of the sides on the menu full to the brim what false advertising. Hopefully someone sues them like they are doing for Burger King. The last time I ate here a few months ago the sides were 2.99 and 3.59. Now 3.81 and 4.29 for an individual side is highway robbery. Especially for the Mac and cheese saying it's a premium side. The picture shows it's FAR from premium and the taste is so bleh that I felt robbed. Honestly I love their chicken but the prices have gotten to out of control. I can make a fried chicken dinner for 4 for the price they now want for a 2 piece meal. Honestly nothing on their menu is worth the price anymore.
The food is pretty consistent but the customer service is usually lacking which is why the 3. On a side note not the location's fault but I wish you could order more in the app. Yes combo's are nice but sometimes I just want a couple legs or a breast as a snack while I'm out...
Read moreBEWARE!! Slow and horrible!! My husband and I thought we would give this restaurant a try tonight, boy are we sorry we did. It took 55 minutes to get through the drive thru. We ordered a 10 piece tenders box with 2 large sides and 5 biscuits for $21.99 plus 2 large diet cokes. The deal was advertised at the order window. The car in front of us ordered the same thing and was having a very difficult time getting their order placed...I should have taken that as a sign and exited. The young man taking our order, who's name starts with "O" sounded like he was auditioning to be an understudy in "Up in smoke" and could not understand our simple order, just like the poor people in front of us. (I'm not sure "O" even knew they sold chicken there.)
After finally placing the order, we waited, and waited. We watched people walk in, and walk right back out without knowing why. Again, we should have exited.
When we pulled up to pay, "O" did not have the right order and seemed to be having a difficult time opening the window to talk to us. Maybe he's new, I thought. Maybe he just started here, I thought. After all, we all start somewhere, right?
When "O" found our order and went to get it, he came back and said they were out of fries, would we like something else. We settled for mashed potatoes and gravy. We were given our box of chicken and sides of mashed potatoes and gravy. I had to remind "O" that we needed our drinks. He wandered past the cups, went into the main dining area, not sure why, came back behind the counter, grabbed and filled one cup, then the other....omgosh he was moving so slow I almost lost my mind! Then I asked for sauce, he said they were out of bbq sauce! Ok, plan B, I asked for ranch. They were out of that too!! So I said, just give me any sauce, anything to dip my tenders in.
"O" handed me the 2 diet cokes, and a handful of sauces. I drove out of the drive thru so the poor souls behind me could get their food, AND we were starving.
Got home to discover we did NOT receive tenders, but mixed chicken pieces!! The sauces, we're cocktail sauces!!! Cocktail sauce for my chicken??
$27 for an entire order of stuff that was not ordered! We will not go back. There was no apologies, no customer service, and the food was...
Read moreThis location is the worst. Extremely slow service from a rude crew that doesn't seem to really care about customer service. After visiting the Greenville location I fell in love with the food, so I convinced my wife to try it. Took her to the Alpine, GR location and we had one of the worst fast food experiences we've ever had. Ordered two meals in drive thru, with a constant, "is that all for today" instead of being given some suggestions. When asking questions about items, we received a snarky short answer which didn't help my wifes decision making. I ordered a chicken tender basket and my wife ordered a shrimp basket. Waited in drive thru for almost 20 minutes, 8 minutes just at the window alone. Was never informed why the wait or what we were waiting on. Finally get our food without even so little as a "have a nice day" or anything and the window was shut. So we pull around to check our food. My chicken and onion rings are on the cold side, my wifes onion rings are cold but her shrimp is so hot she can't touch it. At least something was fresh. We both specifically asked for sauces which was a big part of us originally asking several questions when ordering, but those of course were missing. Go inside to get them and see 4 employees just in the front counter area seemingly doing nothing, and the manager chitchating with a friend. More than annoyed at this point, I just asked for the sauces and left. When my wife's shrimp was finally cool enough to eat she found they gave her the spicy kind, (she asked for mild) so she didn't want any of the food anymore. My wife and I will never visit this location again, and i suggest avoiding it to all my friends. If you want a good Popeye's, go to Greenville. That...
