Chocolate Carousel — Restaurant in Wall Township

Our venue works with Chocolate Carousel for our wedding cake, and we couldn't be happier!! Everyone at the bakery was very helpful on the phone and answered any questions in a timely manner.

The whole process went smoothly, from booking your design and cake tasting appointments, and even picking up the tasting kit. My sister was kind enough to go to the bakery to pick up our tasting kit since I was stuck at work, and she said the place is amazing inside and everything smelled delicious!! My now husband and I had a blast tasting all of the flavors we wanted to try for our wedding cake. We ended up going with an almond flavored cake with raspberry filling and white buttercream. O-M-G, everything we tasted was AMAZING!!! But the almond cake really stood out, along with the raspberry filling. You can't go wrong with any flavors you choose!

Our guests at our wedding raved about the cake flavor so we were very happy with our choices :) Our venue even gave us the top tier to take home after the wedding which was so nice!! We ate it ALL within a few days!! (Even after a few days, it was still that good!!)

I'm a big sweets lover, and can be critical so I can without a doubt say that Chocolate Carousel's cakes are the best!! They're so moist and fresh, and the best flavors I've had in a long time.

The design of the wedding cake was exactly what we asked for, it was so beautiful!!

After going to multiple bakeries including our “go to” we kept getting “no” for what I thought was a simple design . Took the chance on Chocolate Carousel for my gender reveal cake. I want to say that other than the pink not being exactly what I wanted, the cake came out perfect! To the T of the design I sent and asked for. The flavor and texture of the cake was amazing and it was perfect for my party. I will say that although greeted by a very nice and helpful front desk greeter, once she went back to get a “designer” that’s when the customer service went a little left. The designer seemed annoyed with me and my partner like she didn’t want to listen and wanted to hurry us out. When we wanted to look at the order sheet in the end just to confirm I actually caught her rolling her eyes. I would have probably been able to explain the pink I wanted better if she didn’t have such an attitude. Usually I would have said something but didn’t want to cause a scene so I let it go but it left a bad taste in my mouth for a first impression. I would say make sure staff , even if annoyed try to be as nice as possible to customers as our friends and family have many many parties through the year where we order cakes and will still recommend this bakery and will most likely be back. But that could have easily not been the case because of the service of the designer. Thanks for the amazing cake...

We got married last Saturday and was disappointed with how our cake looked. We paid over $100 for sugar flowers to be added to our cake and feel like they were sparse with the decoration. There are gaps at the top and bottom of the design. I attached a picture to show the unfinished look of the design. We were so disappointed by the cake that we did a private cake cutting rather than having everyone come and see the cake. This is one of the few pictures we took of the cake.

Ten days before the wedding, the bakery called us to double check the headcount (which was fine) but once they realized that we were a few people short of our headcount they proceeded to charge us more for a cake that we had already paid in full. Based on the owner's explanation it was my venue that decided not to pay for the $24 of extra cake, which I paid for and did not get to take home with me. When I was called 10 days before the wedding, the person who called me from Chocolate Carousel was unable to articulate why I owed additional money so I want to thank the owner for clearing that miscommunication up.

I still believe that an additional row of flowers on the third tier of cake would have completed the design. A cascading design should get fuller at the bottom not narrower. It looks odd to have one flower floating at the bottom of the...
