Found this place on Instagram. I'm into reading reviews before I visit the location but because I love Peruvian cuisine I decided to bypass the bad reviews. I guess I should have listened to the reviews 😕 Upon entering we were told to sit where ever. The waiter was nice but when we inquired about where certain meals that we ordered ( delay of receiving the food ) she seemed slightly annoyed and would say " What, why " instead of I'm sorry let me go check or another kind response. To answer back with " what" is so so rude" but I was kind and responded nicely. She probably had a long day and was tired.
We ordered our appetizer and dinner meals. The appetizer never came out and we weren't told until the end of our dinner that there was no more of that appetizer left.
I ordered their version of a seafood rice paella 🥘 and the only thing nice about it was how the rice was shaped. There was 4 mussels that were over cooked, a couple shrimp 🍤 and the food tasted like it had been cooked in a whole stick of butter and it was very sticky, so sticky that when you pulled it apart with your fork you can see the strings from the sticky substance. It had no taste just a very heavy butter taste that was horrible. My husband ordered the grilled steak with fried egg, French fries and white rice and that was decent. The French fries were the best thing I ate there.
My husband ordered a can of soda and it never made it to the table, so he got up and went to the soda fridge and retrieved it himself.
For entertainment there was a guy singing on a mic playing music on a stage and seemed to be a dance floor ( seemed like it was karaoke, but it wasn't) there were disco light's going through the restaurant.
So would I ever go back, No. I mean they are new to the area, restaurants are just starting to boom again so with time, more training and honest reviews they will improve in the gray areas. Definitely try it out. I always say "Know" before you say "No".
I will post the pictures of what I ordered verse what I got. What was pictured on Instagram and Google was completely different 🤔 then what my dish...
Read moreLet's not talk about the food because food is good but The Customer Service is Horrible!!! You basically go for lunch and be expected to be served by dinner time. I was sitting there with a party of 6 when the restaurant was basically empty. The server was all the time on her phone. I basically had to grabbed her attention so we can get something to drink and she didn't came back to take our order for probably 10 min or more and then when she took the order a dish will come within a 30 min or more later by the time i finished eating it was still two dishes missing, while other people that after before us was being served. I asked for Ketchup and Rocoto and never got it from her i had to asked someone else for it after waiting and waiting. On top of that the bathroom had no toilet paper, we asked for toilet paper and all she said was ok, never brought toilet paper after waiting so my husband had to bring toilet paper from our car! After that my husband goes to the cashier to pay and she pressed on the machine for cash when my husband never told her it was gonna be cash, mind you she was on her cellphone texting... so she expected my husband to pay cash just because she pressed the wrong button. Now you must say this is my first experience not it's not i been in this restaurant multiple times, the food is good but the service is horrible! Oh and of course she doesn't care how she treats people because on the bill her tip it's included! She didn't...

Received a dried out piece of cheap salt-injected chicken with the thinnest layer of Peruvian seasoning which actually falls off the chicken if you’re not careful. Taste was fair at best but left a weird ‘petroleum’ like aftertaste (?). In all honesty I’ve had better Peruvian chicken at Acme. Seriously, it’s better, and more authentic tasting compared to this.
On to the “French fries”. They were not fried (or even baked), but rather lightly steamed pieces of mushy potato cut into a fry shape. My initial thought was that they ran out of cooking oil but didn’t want to leave them out entirely since I paid for them so decided to serve them uncooked since it’s better than nothing. I even looked it up to see if, perhaps, this was how they are normally prepared in Peruvian cuisine but.. nope. Peruvian fries are indeed supposed to cooked, unlike these.
Now I did also have the Parihuela Norteña which was decent, albeit hard to mess up since it’s just mixed pieces of seafood thrown into a seafood stock. While nothing particularly special it was definitely better than the chicken and “fries”.
I’ve tried this place a few times over the years and while never terrible it was always mediocre at best, but I kept returning since I love Peruvian food and thought maybe it would be better this time. However I can’t say I’ll be back anytime soon if at all unless they go under new ownership.
See pic of “French...
