2nd time here ..went for the lunch specials but realized after looking at the menu that there just wasn’t enough offered too satisfy ..jalapeño poppers 2 wings ...pulled chicken ..and a sausage . You pick one of those and it comes with fries . I got the sausage and fries and ordered 1/4 lb. of brisket hoping this would be better than the fatty greasy piece I got last time . Well I was wrong the brisket was the same and coleslaw was terrible . The sausage was ok but small . Fries were just ok . Presentation :everything in foil wrap . This place needs too rethink what they’re doing from presentation too price point . People don’t mind spending if they get what they pay for. This place could be a gold mine if they get their recipes and other stuff I named right . Want too like this place because there’s nothing like Good bbq but cmon guys more smoke and larger portions for the price people are paying and please rethink those recipes and cut of meats. The service was good This response alone is why your place will never get it right .
Response from the owner 22 hours ago Rob sorry for your disappointment, as far as a $5.99 lunch special giving 8 wings and fries for that price you know and everyone else knows we dont make money on that. The same with all the other lunch specials. And by the way the place is already a gold mine.
Obviously this place depends on people who really don’t know how bbq is suppose too taste . I’ll definitely take my business too the other better bbq spot on rt.35 in Neptune . They have the best food and better management . Place is packed all the time unlike your desperate attempts with that...
Read moreI originally went here on March 27th, got my lunch order to go which was $18.65. For one person this was an expensive lunch but everything looked so good! The food itself was very good BUT the unsweetened ice tea I got had an odd taste of root beer and was not drinkable. When I returned today April 4th and placed an order I explained to the cashier the situation with my previous order that I had to throw my soda away and asked if they have a problem with their lines. She told me it was corrected, I asked to taste the Ice tea which STILL TASTED LIKE ROOT BEER. I decided to get another drink and when she gave me the total I was surprised that she charged me the soda since I had just told her my order from the previous week was thrown away. I asked he if she would take the charge for the soda off considering the issue the previous week. Her answer to me was absolutely insulting!. "I cannot prove that I threw the soda out and cannot not charge me." THIS IS VERY POOR BUSINESS!! When I first told her of the issue she should have immediately said no worried sir your drink is on us today. To insult me by saying it cannot be proved I threw out the soda is just outrageous. Well Smokehouse you had a customer who was spending almost $20 per week on an individual lunch but your poor customer service over a 25 cent cost to you of a soda lost a...
Read moreSmokehouse Grill & BBQ on route 34 in farmingdale is a good place to go and have barbecue. They have take out or dine in. The inside they have a small amount of tables maybe six tables, with wooden bench seats and no backs. I don't think many people go there for the comfort of the seating or the atmosphere they go for the great food. They have tender brisket barbecue chicken pulled pork pulled chicken all kinds of good sides. The baked beans are really good. And the cornbread I think the cornbread is really good. You can get meals or you can buy the food by the pound. They have good barbecue sauce for your food even for the takeout or they have hot and spicy. I recommend it. Today's brisket was out of this world it's always good but man alive today's was really good. Today I got the platter special quarter pound of brisket quarter pound of pulled pork one side I got baked beans have the greatest baked beans here at this smokehouse grill, cornbread, other cornbread is so good moist flavorful. And a drink for $15.95 I think it is. But no doubts it's...
