Valente's Italian Deli — Restaurant in Wall Township

Absolutely horrible I just left there. Ran in to get a chicken salad sandwich 🥪 for a friend for lunch I asked the tall kid behind the counter what type of bread they had. He points to behind the register an says it’s over there 👉 and he had some bread behind him So I the customer has to figure it out ?? 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️. So then I pick a bread 🍞 an asked what does he put on the sandwich so again what ever I want. Not a list suggestions. So he then proceeded to make the sandwich not washing hands Slapped literally a scoop of chicken salad on the bread. One slice of tomato a small sliver of lettuce an a thin slice of cheese Handed it over an said here So I’m like ok So he is like I guess I have to ring you up. So go to the register!! So rang me up. I grabbed chips. I got a eye roll Then I asked for a bag an napkins. An a hugh huff an puff comes out. Who is this kid. An why my god why is he in customer service Is your life that bad ??? Avoid the kid an the place !!! Better delis out there and better food and services This is....

I love love love Valentes! I always go in and get various salads but my favorites are the Tuscan Bean Salad the Potato Salad and the Egg Salad. The deviled eggs are to die for please never change them! Their Italian Eggplant is delicious... their fried broccoli is out of this world and their soups are just what the doctor ordered! Everything's homemade and fresh. Their coffee cake OMG to die for! I drive 45 minutes just to get some goodies from Valente's. Plus everyone in there is so sweet and kind especially the owner hes fantastic! Which is one of the reasons why I keep going. My son and I were at a vintage computer festival at Camp Evans and found this place when we went looking for a place to eat. We don't live in the area and was driving past when I saw the deli and two police cars. I told my son it has to be good if it has the local police stopping by. We were not disappointed. I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich and my son had the 1/2 roast beef sub. One of the officers recommended a small pasta side that I can't recall the name. We thought it all very good and a large, almost too large, menu to pick from. We ate in side by the front windows in an area that had about four small tables.
