Having lived all over the US, I have exceedingly high expectations for bakeries. This surpassed all of them.
My wife had brought home some of their goods previously, and I was thrilled at how delicious everything was. Today, we went to the bakery early and got So far, we've tried close to half the menu.
Kouign Amann - As this is a hard item to find, I was elated to get my hands on it. Soft, not too sweet, absolutely delicious. Apple cider doughnut - I've had a few of these around the area, but none as flavorful as here. Pumpkin streussel muffin - It was almost like cake. Good God. So tasty. Croissant - chef's kiss Ham & cheese croissant - My wife almost made me buy a second one because I took too large of a bite. I could eat one daily. Chai spice cookie - Chai is always good. Maybe my favorite cookie here. Cookie butter whoopie pie - Honestly, not as good as I thought it would be. Only outlier. More filling, maybe. Milk chocolate blondie - I'm not a brownie fan, but this was amazing... and destroyed in short order. Brown sugar scone - Described as tasting Iike a brown sugar pop tart. Spot on, but better.
In all, I put Kouign in the top echelon of the best bakeries I've ever had. It lives alongside The Batchmaker in Charlotte, NC and Sidecar Donuts in Orange County, CA.
UPDATE JAN 2022:
Did you know that you can just buy one of everything and eat it in the parking lot with your family? You're an adult. No one can stop you. Live...

The tasting itself was amazing — all the flavors were delicious, and we had such a hard time choosing because everything was so good. In the end, we went with a chocolate almond cake with raspberry and fudge filling, finished with a vanilla bean buttercream — and it was just as incredible on the wedding day as we remembered.
Chelsea was so accommodating and willing to bring our vision to life. She even beautifully placed the fresh flowers from our florist on the cake, and it looked stunning. We’ve saved the top tier and are already looking forward to enjoying it on our one-year...
Read moreJust wow. One pastry was better than the next. We went early Saturday morning just after 8:00 and it wasn't busy. The cases were full and they were still bringing more freshly baked pastries about of the back. I got a box with a classic Cinnabon, chocolate croissant, guava and cheese croissant, ham and cheese croissant, and coffee cake muffin. Everything was absolutely delicious. Truly some of the best I've ever had. There is a self-serve coffee station but no other coffee or espresso beverages. You come here strictly for the baked goods. (Go down the street to Green Kettle Coffee for a latte.) Get here early and check their Instagram - They do sell out and close early, especially...
