Le Jardin Cafe — Restaurant in Wallingford

The ambience of the place was beautiful. I was excited to try out the cafe shop since my husband and I are addicts when it comes to trying new coffee. I walked over from the library where my husband and children were and went ahead and ordered “our usual” when we go to any cafe; two coffees and a pastry or two.That’s our base line, we have to try to know. Well as I was waiting I walked around because when I first walked in I was shocked to see a jewelry store, I was sooo excited because my husband and I’s anniversary is coming up and with my pregnancies my ring no longer fits. Since we inherited our rings, we decided that although we love them, and really want new ones. Unfortunately for me the design that I specifically wanted they didn’t have but The owner of the jewelry store showed me around and options and that you can customs a ring and even told me if I want a certain design that we can bring in a picture and the designer can make it for us which i love to hear. So the jewelry store gets 10/10. Anyways, back to the coffee. We get our coffee, and I add our usual I bring a few packets of sugar and cream with me just incase and walk back over to the library and here it is.. my husband and I take our first sip and the coffee tasted burnt. I tried covering it up with some cream and sugar which helped but we decided we’d throw them out and get our usual at our favorite spot. We had the pastry, a strawberry crème cheese pastry, and a banana walnut muffin it...

wish I could give 0 stars. ridiculously over priced. drove half an hour for their coffee flights we got there around noon and was told they were “out of coffee flights” which I didn’t understand because I saw people with what looked like fresh flights. Then tried to order the bowl that is suppose to have egg, taziki sauce , home fries and some other stuff they were out of home fries to they substituted french fries??? which was such a weird combo then they were out of the taziki sauce and subbed it with a chili aoli not at all what I ordered and was still charged the insane full price. My husband ordered the chicken and pancakes and the chin was cut into the thinnest strips i’ve ever seen and was absolutely a tyson chicken patty cut into strips it was crispy it was soggy and gross. We barely ate. we ordered the coffee buckets which were nearly $15 for mediocre coffee. Paid $100 DOLLARS for three meals two buckets and a small latte!!!!! My jaw nearly hit the floor the food does NOT meet the quality it should be for that price not even close. I have no issue paying for great food as i’ve done often but this was insulting the food they gave us and drinks and the price we paid STAY AWAY...

Went in specifically for the seasonal pumpkin latte in an actual pumpkin and was highly disappointed. First off they didn’t have any decaf espresso - so I had to settle for decaf coffee. (which would have been fine if I could of actually tasted the coffee - tasted just like milk and sugar)

The service was terrible! When we arrived there was no one in line - ordered our two drinks and waited for at least 20 min for them. The cashier was extremely distracted (not sure by what) b/c we only saw 2 other people come in after us. A group sitting outside didn’t get there food on time and seemed upset and kept having to ask where it was.

Both my mom and I had seasonal drinks and they tasted watered down with milk and sugar with no actually coffee, not sure if the girl forgot to add it or what but it really made us not want to come back. If the drinks were great I could have over looked the service but it seems that the service here just doesn’t care much about the quality they are putting out or have any...
