I would first like to say that I go into panera locations all over the country multiple times per week as it is part of my job to bring in cookies or catered lunches to offices. That being said I stopped at this location today and stood in line and waited for more than 40 minutes to get a dozen mixed cookies. The girl working at the register was so flustered and overwhelmed and seemed to be not adequately trained. The order in front of me took an extra long time because she had to ask the person for their phone number for their rewards account almost words account almost 10 different times because she could not put the number in correctly. Then I had to tell her what 1 dozen mixed cookies was and how to package it up correctly and that took more than 5 minutes to put 12 cookies in a Box. I honestly feel bad for her because she obviously was not trained or well supported but for me to have to tell an employee how to do their job and how many cookies one dozen is is pretty bad. I then tried to call the store to speak to Ashley Collins who claims to be the operating partner on the door. I waited and nobody picked up and then I was hung up on. I called the corporate number and they transferred me to a person named Gianni who seemed completely uninterested inwhat I had to say and unconcerned with my experience. He apologized after a long silence of me saying is this OK for your store? He said no I'll go have a talk with her. I reiterated to him that I am not even upset with her but rather the fact that their store is so poorly ran. I feel like my concern was not even a concern to him at all. Do not...
Read moreSunday at noon and we decide to drive over and pick up lunch at Panera Bread, just a few minutes from our home. We opt for the drive-through because it is not busy. "Order please" says the talking menu. I proceed to call out my order to the faceless menu and ask for the Green Goddess Salad and a cup of broccoli cheddar soup. The menu speaks and says "we are out of green goddess dressing." Seriously, the name of the salad is green goddess cobb. "What can I substitute that for?" "BBQ Ranch, Soy something and another gross sounding dressing" says the lady behind the menu. "Nope, I will find dressing at home." I proceed with my wifes order: "Order of the You pick two, greek salad and cup of the broccoli cheddar soup." Once again the lady disguised as a menu says to us, "we have no greek dressing." OMG! Ok says us we will find dressing at home. I inquire as to if they would provide a discount to us since they were out of dressing for our salads? The response was, "is there anything else I can help you with." "No", says me. "Drive up", says the now not nice lady behind the menu. We get to the window and I ask "do you run out of dressing often?" The window lady responds that they do run out because of their early rush. It is noon! They are not busy so this is a matter of bad management of resources We get home, dress the salads and my wife comments that her greek salad is almost all lettuce and tomato with 2 half kalamata olives and a pinch of feta cheese. To sum this up: rude customer service, no dressing for signature salads and the salads were minimal at best - Panera Bread earns 1...
Read moreI usually do not leave bad reviews but this needs to be posted to save others their time and money. I met friends for lunch. There were no clean tables so I grabbed some napkins, dampened them with water and wiped down a table and chairs myself. I ordered the Green Goddess Cobb with Chicken. When it was ready, there was no chicken on it. I asked the kitchen for chicken, and they gave me a side that I placed on top of the salad. When I got to the table, I noticed the chicken looked a little strange so I touched it before eating it and noticed it was frozen. I went back to the kitchen and let them know their chicken is frozen. They told me they know, and that’s all they have. I asked for a different salad since this did not look appetizing at all. They rudely asked “Well what salad do you want?” I responded “Any salad that doesn’t have frozen chicken”. They made me an Asian (dark meat) chicken salad that I thought I could eat since the dark meat chicken wasn’t frozen. They forgot to put the side baguette with the salad so I had to ask for that. I got back to the table and the salad was drenched in dressing. It literally had 3 times the dressing it should’ve had. Tasted like vinegar and couldn’t taste the actual flavors in salad. I didn’t end up eating the entire salad because of this. My friends’ food also turned out poorly. I won’t go into detail on their experience but I will never return to this Panera (Walnut Creek). It has gone way downhill since a...
