Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Walpole

We like Applebee's and used to go here for dinner on Birthdays as they come with their team singing Happy Birthday. But the Walpole location Applebee's disappointed us Big Time yesterday. It was my daughter's 5th birthday and we went there to have dinner. We asked the waitress if she can bring knife and light up the cake which we had with us so that she can cut it. She refused. We we're very disappointed and cut the cake by ourselves as I did not want to spoil our mood and her day. Then in just 2 minutes, the team came singing birthday Carol on another table, which really hurt us. We did not want to order and leave but again did not want to spoil my birthday girl's day as she won't understand and will ask us why we are leaving. So stayed there thinking may be the waitress will come at the end of our meal and will wish her. During our stay there, there were 2 other birthday Carol's they sang on another tables which really broke my heart that why no one is wishing my baby. There were of course other waitresses knew we had a birthday on our table as we cut the cake and sang birthday song for her. But no one bothered to come and wish, singing for her. I felt really discriminated and just asked the waitress for to go box and we left. We are NEVER going to Walpole location back for sure. We had birthdays coming each month till July and had the plan to go to Applebee's only each time. But now, NO. Never. We do not want to spoil our day feeling discriminated as birthday should be special for everyone. No one deserves to feel like crying and heartbroken 💔 because of few people who don't bother and give equal service to their customers. We also pay bills and deserves the same...

We went to dinner tonight for mine and my son's birthday dinner celebration. There were 6 total 2 kids 4 adults. Everything started off great but then took a turn. I asked to put my kids meals in first to keep them happy that was fine. Their meals came out in a pretty decent amount of time. I asked for my side salad to come out at the same time. Our waitress never brought my salad. Not a big deal. We were then forgotten about for id say a good 30 min. Finally once our waitress appeared from the back we asked when our food will be out. She brought our food over about 3 to 5 minutes later. I ordered the blacken salmon. I have ordered it before from the Applebee's in Milford and it was delicious. Sadly that was not the case this time. The fish looked like it was reheated in the microwave with little season taste at all. My oldest order the chicken tenders salad, and his was the last one to come out of the kitchen. And then he still had to wait an additional 5 minutes for his bread stick. Which the manager brought over to him yet never addressed the table to ask how everything was going. When all was said and done and we finally got the check they had added the table game charge in there yet we never used it. The waitress quickly took that off not a big deal again and no issues but something to be mindful of when paying at the table using the game pad. I will stick with Applebee's in Milford...

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE IVE EVER HAD! If you are looking for friendly hosts and a helpful manager this is not the location to come to. I walked into this restaurant last night around 12:20 and they close at 1 I only wanted 1 margarita however I knew it was late so I asked the host if I would even be able to get one if not I’d leave she assured me that it was no problem and sat me down immediately at the sight of me the bartender rolls her eyes and mumbled under her breath when the server came to get my order she notices that I am visiting out of state and my ID doesn’t look familiar without asking she snatched my I’d and bring it to the back when she comes back she is with her manager who is now telling me that he can not sell to me because my ID was issued before I turned 21 despite the fact that it was not expired and I had a second form of ID he still refused to sell to me. I just wish that the employees were honest with me to begin with if they were tired and could not be bothered with doing their job. I sell alcohol at my job and the managers reason was completely made up and if he had the suspicion that I was a minor trying to get alcohol with a fake ID proper precautions should have been taken like an age statement form...
