First, I will take part of the blame. All the signs were there; with the exception of 2 people sitting at the bar, the place was completely empty, sushi display case at the checkout register didn't give you the usual comfort factor you want when eating raw "fresh" seafood, dirty greasy bathroom doors didn't speak well of the restaurant cleanliness either, but I ordered take out anyway. Moo Shi chicken, Appetizer Sampler, Pork fried rice, and Chicken Chow Mein. The sampler was discusting, I heard of refried beans, but refried chicken wings and egg rolls? Rubber boneless chicken, a tiny portion of greasy, fatty chewy boneless ribs. Leftover tasting crab Rangoon and teriyaki beef. Chow Mein was basically a bunch of onions, fried rice tasteless. Happy to say I didn't try the Moo Shi. So after that less than stellar meal, I started feeling sick, I won't elaborate on the details of that, but just starting to feel better after many trips to the bathroom. Food here is very good! We had the hot n' sour and wonton soups. Hot n' sour not all that spicy on this evening. I prefer spicier but it was delicious and packed with black mushrooms, etc. Egg rolls were good, boneless spare ribs were the strip type. They weren't bad but I like the meatier types. We also had the Ginjo fried rice which wasn't dark - I prefer a lighter style - and had big chunks of pork, shrimp and other ingredients. Fresh and good. Also we had the Singapore rice noodles. My new favorite sushi spot. I ordered the saki salmon, the sweet potato maki, and the mame nori. Everything came out so fast and was SO SO fresh. The sushi bar also sent over a sushi special and it was INCREDIBLE. The mame nori had a flavor profile I’d never tasted before but look forward to tasting again. It was the perfect amount of sweet and spicy. I will be going back and I will be recommending this place to all my friends!
