So I ordered food from Costello's and I asked for a Philly cheese steak with lettuce onions and tomatoes but I specifically said no mushroom because I am allergic and my husband he got a meatball parm this is the first time that we're trying Costello so we were very excited I got wings he got chicken tenders from the menu we thought it was simply chicken tenders it turns out it's three processed chicken fingers. The teriyaki wings are okay, but when I receive my sandwich my husband looked curious so he asked if he could take the first bite I allowed him to do so and my husband informed me that there's mushrooms in it and when he opened up his sandwich the cheese that was sprinkled on top was completely ripped off by the parchment pape that was on his sandwich. I called the lady back respectfully and I informed her of who I was, what I ordered and if there's any way to rectify the situation. I live right behind the store and even ran into an employee on the way back to the store from a delivery so I asked her is there any way that someone can just drop it back off and I will give them the mushroom sandwich. she caught an attitude with me and cut me off and when I asked her if there's any way that I can get a complimentary item so that the trip would be worth it she then gets snappy with me and said she'll drop it off herself now I'm scared that with her attitude and what she told me so far she might be spitting in my food right now. she presents that type of attitude and to be honest I am definitely not coming back here again. And I guess the owner thought this was about free food even though I completely paid for my order and had it been right the first time would not have heard from me, before hanging up through in my face that I should have came and picked it up since I am getting an extra free sandwich and when the girl came to pick up the order she demanded the previous sandwich which I didn't give damn about it was more about the fact that I could have died after eating that sandwich. The girl then caught an attitude with me and lied and said that I never informed the lady when even my husband heard me say it they said that they check the cameras and that they never heard me say it I am 22 and not delusional I know exactly what I said I'm debating taking legal action because it's a he said she said and you know even if I died because of it they would cover it up and no one they're would have cared except my husband. Read moreI have been ordering from Castillio’s for several years. I know that Marvin’s used to be Castillio’s 2. We have been going to Marvin’s for a while, but it is getting worse and worse every time we go. The prices have gone way up, but the amount of food has gotten unbelievably small. This afternoon, May 1, 2024, we ordered the spaghetti and meatballs dinner and the cheese shells dinner. There was less than half of a container of spaghetti and meatballs and only three very small cheese shells. The cheese shells looked like they were cut in half. So, half of the regular cheese shells. Technically , only about 1 1/2 total cheese shells. We paid nearly $40.00 for the meals and we drive further from home to go to Marvin’s. Castillio’s 1 charges more, but we get a little more food, although they don’t fill the containers like they used to either. We used to get a lot more food than we do now. I know the inflation is awful, but really? We are struggling to survive also. Income is really low for us. We spend more of the money we have and we get very little. We eat out, because my boyfriend works late hours and I’m disabled and bedridden. We are not able to cook at home much. We have to pay a lot more to eat, but there is hardly any food coming from the restaurants. It’s pathetic and not fair. Read moreTraveling through SC stopped at a best western for the night. Hotel/motel recommended Castillo’s and gave us a menu. So we ordered a Large 16” Hawaiian pizza to be delivered. Said it would be about 45-50 minuets. 1 hour later, still no pizza. I called and asked if the pizza was still coming. I was told yes “she left awhile ago should be there any minuet” Another 45 minutes go by still no pizza. So I tried to call again, no answer phone just rings and rings. At 8:55pm the driver shows up. I signed slip and take pizza inside. First the pizza is cold, and it’s not Hawaiian, just some finely diced ham. Although it wasn’t the worst pizza I ever had it was not at all what I ordered. I tried calling (several times) to complain but they never answered the phone. Beware if your ever tempted. EDIT: The owner did apologize for my review online. Then when I checked on the card I used to pay $33.69 for a wrongly delivered $16.99 pizza, the charge was for $53.69. The driver had given herself a $20 unauthorized tip. I called Castillo's and spoke to the owner, who did agree to refund the Unauthorized $20 but nothing for the wrong, cold pizza.
