Went around 6pm. Walk in with my 20yr old daughter and her mother. There were a couple of people getting take out and about three tables with people eating. Nobody acknowledged us standing waiting to be seated. Multiple waiters and waitresses walk by and saw us standing. There was actually more staff than patrons. Felt very awkward.
After about 3 mins I walked to the take out counter and ask if we should just seat ourselves. At which time the woman at the take out counter walked us to a waiter that i previously had eye contact with and told him table for three. We were then shown our table.
The table was not ready so we waited as it was disinfected and then sat down. The waiter was polite i wish i remembered his name. But he was an aspiring musician and his mom is on the tv show the office (found this out towards the end of our meal).
Anyhow we ordered appetizers and drinks. My daughter ordered the shirley temple i had a sam adams- one in a can (sam 76) which i didn't enjoy but I was brought a Boston lager that they had on tap and that hit the spot.
My daughter's mom ordered a caesar salad and we had the ultimate something or other basically a sampler of appetizers.
I've never been to bertucci's before that day but of course I've heard of their bread and oil that they give while you wait. My daughter enjoyed that.
We then ordered our meals. My daughter had the ravioli her mom the baked salmon I had the shrimp scampi. I also ordered a small pizza for us all to taste.
Food arrived pretty quickly i will say. No longer than 15 mins. We were talking and it was a pretty quiet and a nice environment to connect. The tables were far enough apart that we couldn't hear anyone else's conversations didn't hurt that some tables are not in use because of social distancing.
By the time the food arrived my daughter was kind of full off the bread she ate lol. Her mom and I both enjoyed our meal. The portions were nice sized and no one at the table finished their plate. I ate literally one slice of pizza it was the meat special or something, had about 5 types of meat which was ok but i prefer more tomato sauce.
Towards the end of the meal we had the nice conversation with our waiter that i mentioned earlier. We boxed up all our food and slowly made our way out. Overall we had a good time. Once in the car my daughter's mom pointed out that she never received her ceaser salad. I was too tired to dispute the charge so i just let it go (shouldn't have, it was expensive.)
Overall the delay and no greeting thing wouldve given the experience one more star. I would say the item prices are a little higher than I expected. The food is good but not phenomenal. Our waiter I liked he seemed nervous at first honestly but he was very helpful and we never waited long for his attention. I would go back here again and I recommend...

Read moreMy family and I were in from out of state last weekend. Bertuccis was close to where we were staying, so we decided to check it out. I only give this place 3 stars because of the service, not the food. The food was delicious. The service was terrible. There was commotion seating us right off the bat. One waitress even stated that she did not want to wait on us and not to sit us in her section as there were "only" four of us. When the person who seated us pointed out that there were actually five of us, he seated us in her section. We ordered a round of drinks, then our food. We had to ask for silverware and the waitress just handed a pile of silverware to my sister who then distributed it to all of us. I even jokingly told my sister that she was getting a portion of the tip. Most of our drinks were empty throughout the duration of our meal. Our waitress never came over and asked how our meal was or if we needed anything. My sister, who is also a waitress and a bartender, had to flag her down and ask for drinks. She was only going to bring two until my sister pointed out that my mother had about a sip left in her drink and asked her to bring another one. Also, we were the only people seated in her section and the restaurant was not busy while we were there. Terrible service from start to finish, which was reflected in her tip. Again the food was delicious, but the service was bad enough that we would not go back there on our next trip to...
