Horrible Experience at BJ’s Waltham, MA (66 Seyon St.) – Express Pay Nightmare
I recently had one of the worst customer service experiences at the BJ’s located at 66 Seyon St., Waltham, MA. I had purchased two Weatherproof Cotton pants, 30x30 in Grey Shadow (Order #1013623387). The items were fully paid for via Express Pay, and I thought the process would be quick and hassle-free. Little did I know, I was in for a frustrating ordeal.
Upon reaching the checkout area, the employee in charge of scanning orders could not scan my items. Despite seeing the order details on my app and acknowledging that the items had already been paid for, the employee wouldn’t allow me to leave.
I tried calling a manager to verify the items and complete the checkout process.
What followed was a long and frustrating wait. It took over 15 minutes for the manager to arrive, despite multiple requests and a line of frustrated customers. I was already upset because I had my wife with me, along with our 8-month-old baby in a carrier. Anyone with a baby knows how time-sensitive situations can be. We were trying to leave as quickly as possible to put the baby to sleep, but the delay felt endless.
At this point, I was beyond frustrated. I asked for a refund so I could just leave without the items. Even this wasn’t quick; I still had to wait for the manager to approve the refund. This entire process of simply trying to leave with my purchased items or get a refund was chaotic, disorganized, and a complete waste of my time.
By the time the refund was processed and I left, I had abandoned the items I had already paid for. It wasn’t worth the hassle or the wait, especially with a tired baby and stressed wife in tow.
The whole experience was unacceptable. What’s the point of using Express Pay if you’re held up and subjected to such disorganized, slow service? This was not just an inconvenience but an absolute nightmare, especially for families like mine who depend on quick service...
Read moreNever have I encountered such lazy, unhelpful staff in my life. I visited the Waltham BJ's store tonight, March 1, 2024, to purchase some beverages. One of the items I needed was on an upper shelf that was out of reach.
As I was in the aisle, an employee named Vanessa walked by. I waved to her and asked if she could help me, but she ignored my request for assistance and just kept on walking and into a back room that was for employees only.
After a few minutes, Vanessa came back out of the back room and again I asked her for assistance. She told me that she does not work the floor and that I would need someone else to help me. She said that I would either need to "wait around" (that's an exact quote) or come back the next day. I explained to her that there was nobody else around and asked if she could find someone who could help me.
Vanessa walked off, claiming that she would try to find someone. After ten minutes of waiting and her not returning, I continued to do my shopping a few aisles down. I eventually spotted Vanessa again in another part of the store. When she saw me, she ignored me once again, probably hoping that I had given up on seeking help. When I approached her to ask if she was able to find someone who could help me, she said that she could not find anyone.
Vanessa ignored me multiple times, essentially refused to help me multiple times, and even when she finally agreed to help me, she apparently just disappeared to another part of the store hoping that she wouldn't run into me again.
I guess good help is hard to...
Read moreI don’t usually post reviews. But have been having disappointing experiences here, Waltham.
TLDR: I don’t like needing to inspect everything grocery I take home and several examples why I have to apparently.
One time, I did a pickup order and didn’t realize until I got home and they left something out. Honest mistake.
If I do pickup I distinctly exclude bread (they have tossed it around in the back and it got smushed) and produce, proteins because I can’t trust the condition. Sometimes they’re “on their way out” and i wonder if they had picked the worst one there on purpose. Idk. So if I do pickup it’s for non grocery and I go in to get the groceries myself.
Another time. The deli person kept taking breaks while cutting it to hold the meat closer to his face, 2 or 3 times. I thought he was just curious about the swirl because it’s buffalo chicken. Got home and it was definitely spoiled. I totally understand it's on me for not thinking anything of his behavior, blind trust I guess.
Another time, I came home with cucumbers that were moldy. I should have inspected them, but that’s a genuine shame. I really have to take the time to inspect everything? Why it makes me not want to go here (but the next one is a...
