Chipotle Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Waltham

Back to back horrible experiences... I came here twice in the last two months. Both times, the staff acted like customers weren't there, talking amongst themselves. Both times the restaurant was filthy. Both times they were out of several basic food and drink items. Unacceptable.

Today I was greeted by an overflowing outdoor trash can. I had a coffee cup from my car that I wanted to throw out, so brought it inside. The indoor trash cans had the bags falling into the can.

There were probably 6-8 staff behind the counter, most didn't appear to be doing anything at all. When I got to order, there was no white rice, no brown rice, no black beans, no chicken, no corn, no chips. I stood by patiently. When the food was replenished, the staff focused on filling mobile orders while a growing line of people watched.

Finally my order was taken, although it was not made correctly. I couldn't be bothered correcting it. I was rung up, but the cashier never communicated the total. After a few seconds, I just gave her my credit card. I was dumbfounded.

Chipotle is one of my go-to places. It's generally consistent, high quality, tasty. This particular location massively...

I was very delighted with the experience I had last night at this location. It's smaller and very informal from what I though it was. It's just a fast food place. The place was clean and the people were all very kind and patient as I made my selections. I got some spicy bowl thing that will not be around for long, [sorry, I forgot the name]. WoW, fabulous! Nice and spicy and full of flavor. I still think the food is all the same except presented differently. Such as a wrap, taco or in a bowl. One pretty cool thing was getting to taste the Pipps soda. It's like a dr, Pepper wanna be but, better. They are both made by Coke a cola so there ya go. I do recommend stopping in here when that taco taste hits your taste buds. Be sure to leave a nice tip in the tip jar as they all have to share what's in it at the end of the day. These people work really hard and put up with a lot and do it with a smile on their face. They also have families to take care of or expenses of their own. Show some some love...

It's a chipotle, but not a very good one. Sour cream is sometimes left out too long without a cover and can ruin the meal. When folding the burrito they usually end up messing it up and make the ingredient clump together as opposed to mixed. Compared to other chipotles, the chicken is usually less seasoned. The soda machine acts up a lot and is more often than not out of certain drinks without any indication.

That said, it's still better than the Moe's down the street and the issues I've listed happen more around the later hours.

Edit: Have recently noticed that this place has improved in the last week quite a bit since my review. The chicken is spicier, the burritos are better put together, and the soda machine no longer spurts. I don't really know if this was a result of my review, but if it was then I admire the establishment's...
