This place is a little hidden gem. The picture I took of the entrance doesn't do the location justice ; it's super cute when you walk up with twinkling lights and little plants. Inside is very casual but cozy and the woman who seated me was also the woman who took my order, made my food, and cashed me out! Where was the other sister, I don't know ! She was super sweet and charming. The food was hard core authentic Thai . I had one of the lunch specials which also come with a soup (you can choose from 3 different kinds of soup) I had something called Tom kai , which was a slightly spicy tomato and coconut milk based soup with mushrooms and chicken and cliantro.Oh wow was it amazing . It just happened to be a few degrees above zero outside that day and did that soup ever hit the spot. I followed it up with another lunch special; pad Thai. This pad Thai had chicken ,egg, tofu AND peanut. If you are familiar with ordering pad Thai of course you know that most places only offer you a choice of one! This lady knows what she is doing and her recipes offer true authentic Thai flavors.I really would have liked to stay and order a whole bunch of other things that looked absolutely amazing but I was just too full! I think you should check this place out when you are in the mood for classic Thai cuisine and I hope you have a great...
Read moreLoved the food and the service was good. Got recommended this place like 10 years ago but didn't end up going till recently and wish I had given it a try sooner.
Everything is very fresh and when we ordered the appetizer like sampler(they call it special) they were out of something but replaced it something else. Downside of the freshness is the food does take a bit to get out and it's a small place. There was only one front of house of staff a Friday afternoon/evening. This isn't an attack just showing the size of the place.
We both left happy and full(but not like sick feeling again because it's good ingredients).
Personally feel the location doesn't reflect the food well (it's not dirty just like the building they're in is older and I think it used to be a hotel kitchen). So don't let it stop you from giving it a shot.
Side note the girlfriend like the Thai beer said it was similar to carona which isn't my jam so don't have a...
Read moreUpdated review: Same tiny diner has an Updated appearance: curtains on the windows, fresh paint. We don't come for the atmosphere, though- we come for the food. Their Thai salad with peanut dressing is wonderful. My go to has been the broccoli chicken mushroom with oyster sauce, but my daughter ordered the red curry and it was outstanding (I'll get that next time! ) We did have to wait a long time for our dine in food to be served but everything was freshly made to order. They still have a busy take out business.
6 yrs ago: Fresh, authentic and delicious. The owner and everyone involved are all from Thailand. What this tiny little diner lacks in Ambiance is more than made up by the outstanding food quality and taste and the employees and owners. We have been coming here for years and bring new people each time :-). We have never been...
