Prime Pizzeria — Restaurant in Wanaque

I want to support local businesses. As long as the business meets my expectations I'll stay with them. Brooklyn Pizza, which I loved, is gone and is now Prime Pizza. So, as my wife always reminds me, when it comes to pizza, it's up to you.

Being eager to try Prime Pizza I ordered, for delivery (Grub Hub), mussels appetizer and a pizza with half meatballs and half mushroom and onion.

The mussels were wonderful! The sauce was bit too hot for my wife but was perfect for me. Next time I order mussels I'll ask to tone it down a bit. I can heat it up with my own spices. A suggestion to the owner...offer a mild or hot selection when ordering. If you're a mussels lover, JUST ORDER IT! It was an excellent appetizer.

The pizza was excellent. The crust was perfect. It was crusty and tasty. There was plenty of cheese on the pie and the right amount of oil and spices for my taste. The toppings I ordered were plentiful.

The pizza I ordered was half meatballs and half mushrooms and onions... my wife is the meatball lover and she thought they were excellent. The other half, the mushrooms and onions was also excellent. The toppings on both halves were very generous.

Prime Pizza has me hooked as a loyal customer. I was so pleased, I called Prime Pizza not to complain but to tell the owner how satisfied I was with the food.

We Jersey people are so fortunate to have many wonderful pizza establishments nearby. Pizza, like music, is so personal. Tastes vary from person to person. What I like you may not like. My suggestion is that you give Prime Pizza a try. It may turn out that you don't like it as much as I do. But then...

We’ve always enjoyed ordering from this pizzeria, but unfortunately, our recent experiences have been disappointing. The first time, our mozzarella sticks were missing, and although we requested contactless delivery, the driver knocked and rang the doorbell several times while my husband was in the shower and I was putting our daughter to bed.

Last night, we ordered the “pizza bread” with pepperoni, but it arrived without pepperoni and wasn’t toasted. We had also scheduled our delivery for 7:30 PM, but it was delivered at 5:45 PM instead. When my husband called, the response was simply that the pizzeria was very busy and they would call him back. Thankfully, we happened to make a quick stop at home during the delivery, as we were out trick-or-treating with our daughter—one of the reasons we had requested the later delivery time. Also, we did not receive a call back as they promised we would.

We’re truly disappointed with these experiences and, unfortunately, will not be ordering...

My wife, Dianne, and I ordered from Brooklyn Pizza and Kitchen in Haskell for the first time following our receiving their menu in our mailbox... Their food is phenomenal! The pizza was exceptional. The calzone was HUGE and delicious, and the cannolis were not only fantastic, but they were coated in chocolate... Benny, the owner, is very pleasant and very personable. I'm certain his employees enjoy working for such a gentleman... Best of luck, Benny, and thank you so very much for expanding your delivery area to include Bloomingdale...
