Pizza One — Restaurant in Wanaque

We always love the food here. We usually order for take out at the Wayne location. This time it is rainy, so we ordered a delivery. The website directed us to the Haskell location based on where we are, and it said 60 mins. After 80 mins, we called the store and were told that "she" was on her way to deliver the food. Another 30mins later, we still didn't get our food so called the store again.

They said our food was delivered and signed. We told them no one came to our house. We ended up speaking with the delivery person(him) saying he did deliver the food and we gave him $3.00 tip. The person he described who signed the bill was not one of us for sure. The delivery guy kept saying he did deliver the food so there is nothing he can do. If he delivered the food at a wrong location, it is bizarre that someone just accepted food that they never ordered and gave a tip. Our block is with a dead end and so quite, so we can almost spot our delivery car from our windows.

We ended up calling the store again and spoke with the manager. They ended up remaking the food we ordered and delivered in the next 30mins. We hoped it would be the same guy who insisted that he delivered to the correct address, but it was another person, a female. She said that our address was pretty easy to find.

Due to this unfortunate event, we received our food 2 1/2 hrs after we ordered. If it was early during the day, we would have just canceled the order but it was after 9pm already and most restaurants in our neighborhood were closed, We had no choice. We were starving and hangry... The food was still great, but we won't order for delivery in the future. We would rather come pick up. Grabbed takeout at The Haskell "Pizza One" location Sunday on an impromptu basis. We were planning to get food from a nearby competitor that advertised closing at 10PM. A 9:05 PM call we made to place our order revealed, "we're closed, yeah we need to update our google." Yes you do!! Please become one with your Google. We'd describe our order from Pizza One as "Medium Plus" in nature across the board. The size large Italian Sub which was advertised as being 14" in size had to be at the very least 16". It was easily 2 meals for someone with a Medium Plus appetite. It was quite tasty and was on point to satisfy the Italian Sub craving I'd been carrying around for several hours. Similar can be said for the "small" Chicken Vodka Parm. Claiming to be 7" in size it weighed in at "Medium Plus" and a likely 8 or 9 inches. No rulers were used to estimate length, but as sandwich veterans we know our way around a hero. The bread utilized for each sandwich was better than what is typical for the bread that sandwiches are made on at most pizza places. That said it's not "destination bread," but it's worth noting that in surpassing average expectations in it's category it also achieves "Medium Plus" status. The third item we ordered was a Rice Ball and it was medium in size and tastiness. Certainly passable, but not of particular note, thus it does not reach "Medium Plus" status. Pizza One is incredible! My family usually celebrate Christmas party on 20th of December, in New Jersey, this is because my dad’s birthday is on 20th December, Therefore this day is always a special day in my family and I travel to New Jersey to celebrate with my family. We employed the service of Pizza One Haskell for the catering services. They have an extensive delicious menu, the prices are completely reasonable, their veal Marsala, penne vodka and home made fresh bread were outstandingly great. All utensils included and they were very sleek. They made it super easy to order and have the food delivered an hour or so before our party started. Everything looked great. Our guests loved it. My Mum, who never pays compliments to food, gushed for a good 30 minutes about how wonderful the meal was. The catering team was AMAZING. Working with the catering team was inspiring. They are thorough, professional, and communicative, and oversee everything from start to finish. They were incredibly easy to work with from the very beginning, and their positive attitude was refreshing. Indeed, they did an excellent job with a great customer service!
