The Lantern — Restaurant in Wanaque

What a place with an old time feel! They are on their game, we ordered on the road 10 minutes out and when we showed up our food was waiting for us. After looking around the building, they have a great condiments bar for all your needs! All the employees were working to get people their food and everything from the kitchen that was on the shelf for customers looked awesome! We got cheese burger clubs and some dogs, which were awesome! Bathrooms and everything was very clean and these guys definitely pay attention to detail on everything! In conclusion, all the food we had was great and these guys will see a surge in patronage as word of mouth goes along way. We just stopped in for a quick lunch on coming home from the beach, and the place continued to fill up as we were there! Johnny, Christos, and company are doing a great job and we will be back very often, because their food and menu options are that good! As I am writing, my wife continues to tell me about the food choices available from the Lantern, which is making me hungry as I write this! You boys have a great thing going and keep it up as we will be continuous customers moving forward!

Disgusting at it's finest. The good had no love on it!!! But to top it off this was my 1st time eating there & upon my arrival to pay, a order of fries had a fry sticking out of the side. So..... she took it upon herself to open the container and place the fry inside with no gloves!!!! Mind you she not only was touching her mouth as I walked in but she was also touching everything else such as the counter, money, others food etc. Then when it was said to her that the order of fries was no longer wanted she acted as if it was a surprise & her words were... that it was hanging out so she put it back in as if that was ok telling the staff, she doesn't want it because I touched the fry. How can you work in the food industry & think that's ok!!!!!! Never again will I ever eat...

Two times. I came here. I ordered and my food was wrong. I had to use my card three times and for my effort I did get a free shake even though I had ordered it and felt as If they didn't believe me. I ordered a gyro we a Greek American I wanted to have something elinko and wanted more meat what a process everyone came to ask me over and over. I work a block away as a Supervisor and was late getting back from lunch from getting a simple order changed three times. The first time I came was a better experience despite my order wrong the waitress was very nice. I am not going with my employees again. It was an embarrassing experience for me there being questioned...
