Church's Texas Chicken — Restaurant in Warner Robins

This location needs to be razed; it's been horrible for years and seems to get progressively worse. I had sworn off this Church's years ago, but every year or so, I pop in. And nothing changes. Earlier, I was the first customer to arrive; I drove up to the speaker at 10:02 am......they're supposed to open at 10:00 am. I saw 5, maybe 6 employees just casually standing around. At 10:05, after getting no service, I backed up and went inside. A guy greeted me but he obviously wasn't the order taker. A minute or so later, a young lady, dressed in black, no Church's gear anywhere on her person, not even a name tag, arrived to the register. She sat her phone alongside the register, proceeded to text, looked at me without saying a word. I asked if the 2-pc for $2.49 was a Tuesday special, she shook her head 'No', then rang it up. I paid, then I heard a man say there was a 15 minute wait on dark meat.

So......Wait, the store's open and there's no chicken? Wow. He then said that white would be up in 2 minutes. I addressed the young lady, who was standing with her back turned while texting, and said "Ma'am, I'm sure the white meat cost more, I'll pay extra for it." She shook her head and looked back down at her phone. When the chicken came up, she put it in the box and, by then, another lady who was wearing a uniform had made it to the register area handed the bag to me and said "have a blessed day." Meanwhile, I'm holding money in my hand to pay extra, it would've gone a long way if someone had said something like there's no extra charge for what ever reason.

But it's nothing new, this location is an insult to half-decent customer service, quality food, even cleanliness......and it had just opened for the day.

Really, the owners need to show up to this place and show everybody out. It makes Church's on the whole...

2/17/2025: 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🔹️We have been going to this location for 15+ years and this day is the ONLY day that we received EXCEPTIONAL customer service via the drive thru

🔹️The young lady's name on our receipt is Lekizma C. (with the low ink, I think this is how her name is spelled)

🔹️She had a very nice tone and was extremely kind and professional (I did tell her this, but PLEASE show her this review)

🔹️Lastly, I gave this visit 4 STARS; Would be 5 if the Family Okra boxes were filled to the TOP and they were more flavorful like ALL of our other visits 😫 (The initial 1 star was given from our visit in 2019, see review below)

🔹️Conclusion: To the Owner it is definitely overdue for a complete renovation of this store; Sorry but it has sadly become an eye sore 😞 ................................................... 2024- Visited this location after work around 730pm. They were out of legs, which happen to be my daughter's favorite! Now why would a Chicken place be out of certain chicken parts when your specialty is CHICKEN??? 😡 .................................................... New visit 6/16/19: 🔹️Upon pulling up to the intercom I was immediately told to drive to the window without placing my order, where I found myself in a que for said window! 🔹️Was told it would be a 15 min wait for White as they only had dark pieces ready, I declined! 🔹️After settling for what was available, I received my order. After checking my bag (at the window) 2 of my sides were missing! -🔹️At home, my daughter and I could not eat the corn as it was a million % tasteless which was highly disappointing as Church's use to have the BEST corn...
