Got dessert here on a Friday evening. The place was packed, and there was almost nowhere to sit. Luckily we were able to snag a table right as a group was leaving, otherwise we would have been eating our dessert in the car/at home. But that's not why I only gave it 3 stars.

We got a cannoli, some chocolate chip cookies, some gelato, and a cake parfait. I hate to say it, but the gelato was the only thing that was good. The cannoli tasted unlike any cannoli I've ever had before. It was the blandest cannoli in the world. Maybe I've never eaten a real cannoli before, but I like to think that every cannoli I've ever eaten hasn't been wrong. The chocolate chip cookies were dry. I was expecting something nice and gooey. I've had Chips-ahoy cookies that were moister than these. And the cake parfait. I don't know where to start with that. For starters, the thing is huge. It's basically an 16-18oz cup filled with cake, icing, and a half a pound of sugar. I feel like the sugar that was meant for the cannoli was put in the cake parfait instead because it was incredibly sweet. Like instantly rot your teeth out sweet. I think we ate like 3 bites of it--it was that unpalatable.

And their prices aren't cheap either. I think we paid about $27 for everything we got. It seemed even more expensive considering we weren't very pleased with it. They also sell $7 waffles. I'd like to try one but with a Waffle House literally next door I could get an All Star breakfast for that price...

The interior is nice. It looks like Pinterest threw up on it. It has a nice, cozy feel to it. Reminded me of something you would see teens gathering at in a TV show--the place looked that perfect.

Tip to the owner/manager: For the love of God--don't put so much sugar in your foods. A little sugar can go a long way. Have you even been to a Korean bakery? That is how desserts are supposed to taste--not so overly sweet to the point where all you can taste...

I am a lover of desserts, have mapped out roadtrips based on "Best Dessert in Each State" articles. To say I was excited about this place would be an understatement. I have been 4 times now. I wanted to REALLY give it a shot before leaving my review. The first time we went, they were just opening and it was not great. I had a friend in from out of town and was excited to show him our little city had more to offer than Waffle House, Hibachi, and Storage Units. I was a little ashamed. Little selection, seemed like maybe they were still moving in, lots of deliveries coming through the front door, can't even remember the staff speaking to us. Being new, you expect service above and beyond. Second time I went, I was wowed and got like 3 boxes of goodies to take home; I couldn't decide and I couldn't eat it all at once. Sadly, that seemed to be the exception. The 3rd time, my daughter wanted to go and stock up for a long weekend at home. We left empty handed - not much to pick from, and what was there looked "meh" at best. For an 8 year old to shrug and say "can we go to Publix instead?" says it all. The 4th time, I went by myself and left with a single cookie and bottle of water. I would have left with nothing but my sweet tooth was desperate by then. Customer service practices by owner are horrible. Recent visit tonight after being lied to last weekend and being told there was no cheesecake. I spent $50 and stepped down to have them prepare it and they brought a cheesecake from the back. Was in tonight and another lie about selection. Customers in front of me bought entire strawberry cheesecake. I asked what they were replacing it with. You could tell the same tactics were being used to force customers to select from the two items in the cake case. I asked for a managers phone number. The owner stepped from the back and I asked for a number to call as to not have a discussion in front of her other customers. She said no now is fine. She then advised she wouldn’t “argue” with me and lied that the staff didn’t know what was in the cooler. She also told me she wouldn’t have time to handle my complaint as she was too busy. Not there was one other customer in the store and at least six employees. Please take your business to one of the other places that value your business...
