Outdated. Leaky roof dripping into trash cans that greet you when you walk in. Old seats in the theater. Small. Honestly though none of this truly bothered me as much as the lack of customer service. As we walked up no one was in the booth out front where you would purchase tickets. We walked in and realized this is because tickets are bought at a kiosk. We had bought ours online so that was no problem. Behind the snack counter were five or so people. Only one of them was working. The rest were actively doing their best to avoid guests while grabbing snacks and sodas for themselves. We joined the line for snacks. We were one of two groups waiting in line. The first group waited for about 5 minutes before they were acknowledged. Once we got our snacks we went to grab a straw and some butter for our popcorn. We tossed a piece of trash into a trash can as one would. Suddenly a guy came up to us and rudely/angrily yelled at us stating that wasn’t a trash can. “It’s OBVIOUSLY for collecting rain water.” We were so confused. There was a trash can liner in it. No sign. It’s sitting by the straws where one might need to throw something away. Not sure why this was so offensive to him. We had several more interactions with this employee that were just as unpleasant but all in all: if you’re gonna pay $60 to see a movie and another $20 for snacks, go to a better theater where you will receive better customer service and enjoy yourself more. There are several nicer...
Read moreI would like to give this theater a NEGATIVE 5 for todays FIASCO with my special needs child who has autism. You don't close a snack bar with that many people watching movies. I do appreciate your theater having special needs movies for the school kids. But making everyone get all they need before the movie and NOT TELLING THEM that the snack bar is not open during the Movie is a NO NO for you or any movie company. Kids with Autism don't like crowds and they are not able to wait sometimes. So I was gonna come out during the movie and get her some candy and you had no one working the snack bar which caused a meltdown resulting in neither of us getting to watch half the movie. SO I feel you owe me 2 tickets and a free box of candy - since you BOTCHED movie day. You apparently have no clue what is means to have or deal with special needs kids.
Most the time this theater is good and their snack bar is open - but today was a total cluster bomb.
Seriously when you have all the special needs there - did you honestly think everyone wanted to stand in line right then and get snacks...IDIOT.
Like I said normally its not like this....they usually pretty good during normal movie time. But not during special needs special showings. And they normally give the kids a snack box. With popcorn, drink, and candy. Well today it was drink and popcorn only. And any special needs mom will tell you. You DONT MESS with routine when you have special...
Read moreIt was my first time at this theater, and likely my last. I went to see Star Wars VIII on opening weekend, and for once, it wasn't anyone in the audience ruining the movie, it was the theater themselves! During the movie, The brightness and contrast were turned up WAY too high on the projector. Anything in dark or lighter areas on the screen were harder to see because everything was so washed out, and there was a white haze over the whole screen.
To make matters worse, about 30 minutes into the movie, the whole screen went out for a second. Then again, about 30 minutes before the end of the movie, a large black bar appeared, and covered most of the screen for about 10 Seconds. It gradually moved out of the way, and when it cleared, suddenly the brightness and contrast were fixed! great... only took 2 hours into the movie to correct this...
On top of this, the audio, while quality was good, wasn't normalized. The music and SFX levels were fine, but vocals were quiet. I ran into a friend who watched the movie at this theater just before I did, and said the audio completely cut out during his showing.
It's a theater's job to make sure things like this don't happen and I don't enjoy paying full price to sit in a theater set up by complete amateurs. This is inexcusable. I'd hate to be someone who works to produce a top quality movie, only for it to be shown in a...
