While I understand good help is hard to find, at least hire someone who can communicate in complete sentences and possesses half a clue on how to do their job.
We arrived at 5:45 PM Saturday, February 11 and upon entering we were not greeted, acknowledged, etc. We weren't even sure who to approach. Everyone was just milling around looking at one another. About 4-5 minutes after walking in, my husband asked another couple standing close to us if they knew how long the wait was, and the woman said they didn't, they were not sure who to ask. She said they had been waiting only a few minutes before we walked in. My son finally went and stopped someone, a server I believe, and they pointed to a (what appeared to me) teenage girl who was just standing there like a deer in the headlights. My son asked her how long the wait was, because by the amount of people there we knew there would be a wait, and her reply was, "I can't tell you a time. We have one table left and it is reserved." I then asked, can we add our name to the wait list? Her response, "If you can find a table, you can grab it." Seriously? What busy restaurant doesn't have a wait list? I looked at the couple my husband spoke to previously and they appeared just as shocked.
We walked out behind them and another group of 4-5 (some had been inside while the rest appeared to be waiting outside smoking) walked behind us. In total 9-10 people left and did not give this eatery their business all because of a poorly ran front of the house and an employee who didn't have the slightest idea how to do her job.
When someone has a good experience, on average, they will tell 6 people.
When someone has a bad experience, on average, they will tell a minimum of 13 people.
Can your business afford for 9 people to tell 13 others about their bad experience? Can you afford to potentially lose 117...
Read moreMe and the guys I bowl with go here every Tuesday. Definitely a step up in quality compared to the other places in the area. The famous beef sandwich is one of the best sandwiches I have ever had. I also love their Nashville hot sauce.
But the star of the show, and the thing that brings me back week after week, is their soup. I have had, without exaggerating, 30+ different kinds of soup from here, and EVERY SINGLE ONE has been like a hug in a bowl. My favorites were their creamy chicken noodle, spicy southwest vegetable, chicken corn chowder, steak and mushroom, and I could keep going. I hope that someone who works here sees this and shows the person who makes the soup this review. I just want to say I love you, and your soups deserve some kind of award. My wife and brother frequently call up just to see what soup is. The wait staff recognizes me and my buddies and is genuinely happy to serve us every time we go in. They are so friendly and do an amazing job.
On a side note, in the past, when I was frequently ordering carry-out from here, it was almost guaranteed that something was incorrect in the order. It got to the point where I had to warn anyone we recommended the restaurant to, to check their carry-out before they left. That being said, the staff was always apologetic and resolved whatever issues there were. And, the last 2 times I ordered carry-out and checked the order, it was correct. So if you get carry-out from here, check before you go. It seems like they have remedied the issue, but I wouldn't want it ruining someone's opinion of this place. It is...
Read moreThis was my first time here. I searched Google for a good pizza and cocktail restaurant, and this place popped up with mostly good reviews. I had the Man on the Go cocktail-mango ciroq and pomegranate liquor. It was delicious. We tried two pizzas, since we couldn't decide on one. The food came out within 10-15 minutes. We had the pickle pizza and roasted veggie pizza. I enjoyed both. My husband was underwhelmed by the pickle pizza. He felt it was lacking flavor, the bacon was all he could taste. It did have different cheeses on it. I can't recall them now. I agree with him that it could have had more pickle, but I enjoyed it. The roasted veggie pizza was delicious, with the roasted flavor of the broccoli coming though well. In both cases the crust was crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, cooked in a deep dish square fashion like Jet's Pizza, where you get the crispy slightly burnt cheese on the edges, Yum.
The atmosphere is just right for us. We could hear the music (80 and 90's rock) and vocals, but we could also hear each other talking without having to lean across the table. The walls are lined with TVs, so you can watch any sporting event being aired. They also have a patio surrounded with a hedge. It looked quite lovely, and we will choose to sit out there when the weather is warmer. We came on a Sunday evening about 6pm. We were seated right away and the place was about 3/4 full. We spent $65 for 2 small pizzas, 1 side salad, 1 cocktail, 1 20oz beer, and 1 High Noon. We...
