This place was one of my favorites but the waitresses have terrible customer service skills and lack knowledge of the menu items. Also, the owners or cooks or whomever has changed the buffalo sauces for the wings without telling the staff. I was told to ask for the “old buffalo” wings once we determined that they did indeed change the sauce but didn’t tell the staff. When I go there for my most recent visit, the first waitress was so sure and inherently rude because I insisted she ask the cook or whomever about the old buffalo sauce. When she finally returned she seemed to have a more calm demeanor as the chefs indeed knew or had an idea of what “old buffalo” sauce I was speaking of. Instead of being further mistreated and disrespected, I asked for a new waitress. When the new waitress arrived I fried pickles (usually take 10 min, I’m here every other week) ordered the wings with the old buffalo sauce and immediately she became defensive just like waitress number 1. I calmly asked her to just put the wings in as ordered and if the kitchen messes them up that would be no fault to her. She puts the order through and I literally wait 30 minutes without receiving any food. When I asked about the fried pickles, she’s asks me “of you wanted those out first?”. Now I’m irritated so I ask to just pay for my drink and just not wait on the food anymore and I was told the drinks were on the house and to “JUST LEAVE”. I asked for a manager earlier and was told there’s no managers just owners who don’t work during the week! Lol I can’t make any of this up. I’m SOOOOO...
Read moreMy husband and I stopped here while staying at a nearby hotel. I was a little anxious by the exterior upon arriving because it seemed like a tough guy bar, but I wound up feeling more comfortable inside.
All the food we got was delicious! The loaded mac and cheese bites were some of the best ones I've ever had and I highly recommend getting the spicy gouda ones. The pretzel bites were also very tasty and I was happy with the amount we got for the price.
I wound up saving the extra cheese that came with the bites for my tater tots that came with my fish and chips. I tried the spicy perch as I had never seen it offered before and our waitress assured me it was very tasty. It definitely had some kick after a few bites, it all started adding up in my mouth, but it was still very good.
My husband also loved his boom boom shrimp basket he got! He actually had asked for the boom boom shrimp and was going to order sides separately, but our waitress said she could just have them add the boom boom sauce to the shrimp in the shrimp basket in the kitchen, which my husband happily accepted.
We also got the cinnamon sugar pretzel bites for dessert after our waitress sadly told they were out of the fried oreos. They were tad too cinnamony on their own, but the icing that came with them balanced it out very well.
The drinks were a little pricey too, but they made them strong here, so it was well worth it in my book.
I'm so happy we had such a great experience and I definitely recommend this place to anyone who's looking for great, well priced food...
Read moreI would like to first say I go in 2 or 3 times a month and have always been served in a timely manner. I have been in many Bars in my life I'm 64 but have never seen what I saw yesterday. a Lady came in ordered a cup of soup a glass of water a pop and cup of hot water she then pulled out a TEA BAG that she had brought in with her for the Tea. Within 2 minutes of the soup she ordered she complained it burned her lip and she told the bartender she is not paying for anything because it burned her lip. She said again she wasn't going to pay for anything then had the nerve to ask and was given a take out cup for the soup. The bartender kept her cool just smiled. I know this because I was seating 3 open chairs at the bar away. From my understanding when I asked the bartender she does the same thing 1 or 2 times a month(orders different food) . Funny she came in with a mask on coughed many times but never reached in her purse or offered to pay for her pop or soup she took. If Betty Janes ever refuses her service and shows her the way to the door I hope I'm there to open it. Nice job staff keeping your composer keep up the...
