Dan's Diner — Restaurant in Warren

Would love to rate how our breakfast was but since 35 minutes passed since we ordered and we had still not received our food, we chose to leave. I have eaten here many times in the past and has always been a standard diner in time of service. It was busy when we arrived (but still a few tables available) but was less than half full by the time we walked out..waitress today was very nice but very obviously forgot to put our order in for quite a period of time. Grill line had a strong # of guys on it so I can see no other reason why it would take over a half hour for an omelette and a couple scrambled eggs (breakfast for 2). Really, really disappointing and embarrassing, I work in the area and frequent Dan’s often. I talked up the breakfast here to my wife in which we came from 19 and Schoenherr area (on my day off) to try and enjoy a meal all to, needlessly say, leave extremely irritated and hungry. When we walked out we let the waitress know we left money for the drinks on the table, but also took notice that our food was still not even up in the window. No attempt to save us or make up for anything was offered when we let them know we were leaving due to the extreme wait and our forgotten order. Sad to say but you lost a weekly customer...

My waitress was apparently racist. In my 40 years i have never been so offended. I got blackface from the door. I thought I was tripping me being me I day and ordered anyways. However the waitress approached us being my 2 sisters and I she said ok little demons what can I get for you..I'm like I'm tripping she didn't just say that .. we order our food she gives us 1 cup of coffee as we watched her refill all of the non black people coffee. Our food comes out. I day may I have some packaged ketchup she said No.. I said I'll pay for it.. she said no it's for too go.. I said we'll can I have a Togo box she said no. I can't eat out of a box in her business. I went up front asked for ketchup the older waitress said no problem. Then my waitress appeared and told them no. I'm confused at this point why I can't pay for it. She said you have to use this bottle of ketchup my cousin is the owner he'll tell u no to.. then she said you guys can just leave. Needless to say we did just that. But I wish it was a whites only sign on the door. Because they damn sure give you that vibe from the door. It's like they saw a ghost. I will never go back. I read a good review so I decided to try this place out because it was near by. Long story short, I was very disappointed. I got a breakfast meal which was horrible and made me nautious. When my eggs came out, the slice of cheese on top had hairs melted into it and had to be sent back. The rest of my breakfast continued to get cold while I was waiting because the waitress took my whole plate to re-do the eggs and didn't re-make the whole meal. When I finally got the new eggs, I was very disappointed as the scrambled eggs were runny and gross. The hash browns and pancakes were extra greasy and tasteless. The bacon was the only edible thing about the whole meal. If you have any other choice to eat literally anywhere else, I would suggest you do so and avoid this place. I'm sad I paid money for the disgusting food. I literally got food poisoning shortly...
