We stopped in here for the first time. It's been a neighborhood staple and dad decided he wanted to go there after not going there in years. It was the first time for me. When we first arrived the place had only a few clean tables and a few tables with dinners at them. Since this was my first time here it appeared to a ran by a husband and wife team. Husband doing the cooking and help clean the tables and the wife was the server, busser, take out person, etc. She was hopping that was for sure. When the husband wasn't cooking he tried to bus the dirty tables as many as he could. She took our order in a timely manner and it arrived in no time and we just waited a little bit on a refill on coffee. I wasn't really concerned as I have been in the business and knew she had her hands full. It was also kind of a restaurant where everyone knew each other. More like a hometown feel to it. I would recommend coming here for some good food just be prepared you might wait a little for a table or refills. It's the nature of the...
Read moreThey steal your money, I just had to go up there and retrive the tip the server decided to put on my card without my knowledge or being prompted on the screen to , and when i said something to the owner he lied straight to my face, you didnt steal it but you are giving my money back because you are caught and wrong. Rude, and inconsiderate. I order biscuits and gravy, eggs on the side. She brought my plate out and the scrambled eggs were on my biscuits and gravy. I mentioned this to they waitress and she offered me a extra plate.. sure whatever it happens. But when I order a full order of biscuits and gravy I expect to get 2 biscuits I got 1 and some crumbs, that explains why they put the eggs on top. My friend ordered French toast wd and when she got it, it was still wet so she sent it back, by the time she got it back we were ready to leave. There was hair on our silverware and even in our food, when I mentioned that to the waitress she shrugged it off. Worst...
Read moreThe coffee tasted bad and the half and half creamer was old I believe because there were bits of creamer floating on the top that wouldn't stir in. The Omelette was just okay but had a strange taste to it at first. The English muffin had a weird tasting butter on it. The hash browns however were great! The service was just okay. We seated ourselves and waited until the server noticed us, which in her defense was the only one handling about 4 guests. They were scallop style and I really enjoyed them. At first I really wanted to rate this place two or three Stars because the hash browns were still really good and the food was just below average but after seeing the total rating of 4 stars I had to try and balance it out to a more fair rating. If you want better diner breakfast you're better off going to Haney's Family Restaurant just around the corner...
